Robust algorithm for active feedback control of narrowband noise
PublikacjaThe problem of active control of narrowband acoustic noise is considered. It is shown that the proposed earlier feedback control algorithm called SONIC (self-optimizing narrowband interference canceller), based on minimization of the L2-norm performance measure, can be re-derived using the L1 approach. The resulting robust SONIC algorithm is more robust to heavy-tailed measurement noise, such as the αlpha-stable noise, than the...

Multichannel self-optimizing active noise control scheme
PublikacjaThe problem of cancellation of a nonstationary sinusoidal interference, acting at the output of an unknown multivariable linear stable plant, is considered. Measurement of sub-nanometer molecular layers with ISFET without a reference electrode dependency
PublikacjaA new method of detection and measurement with sub-nanometer resolution of layers adsorbed or bonded to the ISFET's gate dielectric was presented. The sensitivity of this method is high enough to detect even partial mono-layer covering. The transconductance measurement of the ISFET provides independence of the output signal from pH changes and the driving electrode electrochemical potential instabilities. The stable reference electrode...

Arctic as a reservoir for polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and polychlorinated biphenyls- water samples from Foxfonna glacier
PublikacjaPolycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and polychlorinated biphenyls are groups of stable compounds, hard to biodegrade, potentially toxic. Their presence in Arctic environment may have a big impact on natural balance, fauna and flora. Although Arctic areas should be unpolluted, some amounts of pollutants are transferred from lower latitudes with sea currents and air masses.
