PublikacjaThe main purpose of the work was the analysis and evaluation of the self-locking quality of a bolted joint covered with Xylan 1070 coating, with comparison to the classic bolts lubricated with Molykote compound during assembly. The self-adaptive complex root tracing algorithm, which was previously utilized for the investigation of various propagation and radiation problems, is analyzed here for the cases when the traced characteristic bifurcates. Multiple-channel frequency-adaptive active vibration control using SONIC
PublikacjaSONIC (self-optimizing narrowband interference canceller) is an acronym of a new approach to rejection of sinusoidal disturbances acting at the output of a discretetime stable linear plant with unknown and possibly timevarying dynamics. Fourier transforms on Cantor sets: A study in non-Diophantine arithmetic and calculus
PublikacjaFractals equipped with intrinsic arithmetic lead to a natural definition of differentiation, integration, and complex structure. Applying the formalism to the problem of a Fourier transform on fractals we show that the resulting transform has all the required basic properties. As an example we discuss a sawtooth signal on the ternary middle-third Cantor set. The formalism works also for fractals that are not self-similar.

Wear of Ultra-thin DLC or Tungsten-modified DLC Coatings under Reciprocating Sliding
PublikacjaIn the paper results are presented from tests in reciprocating sliding of self mated specimens of DLC and tungsten modified DLC coatings on stainless steel substrate. The contact geometry chosen for the research task was ball on flat. The contacts were lubricated either with distilled water or medical saline solution. Results are presented with regard to wear resistance as a function of material type and lubricant used.
