The accuracy of a new approach to order determination for the Modified Prony method in swath mapping application
PublikacjaThis article presents the performance of a new approach to determine the model order for the modified Prony method applied to swath acoustic mapping. Key requirements for any mapping application are depth determination accuracy and angular resolution. Depth determination accuracy is strictly related to angular accuracy and geometrical relations between receiver and sources of the backscattered signal. Angular resolution determines...

Galerkin formulations of isogeometric shell analysis: Alleviating locking with Greville quadratures and higher-order elements

The quadrature points are Greville abscissae associated with pth-order B-spline basis functions whose continuities depend on the specific...

A Subspace-Splitting Moment-Matching Model-Order Reduction Technique for Fast Wideband FEM Simulations of Microwave Structures
PublikacjaThis article describes a novel model-order reduction (MOR) approach for efficient wide frequency band finite-element method (FEM) simulations of microwave components. It relies on the splitting of the system transfer function into two components: a singular one that accounts for the in-band system poles and a regular part that has no in-band poles. In order to perform this splitting during the reduction process, the projection...

We establish sufficient conditions which guarantee that such problems have extremal solutions in the corresponding region bounded by lower and upper solutions. We also discuss the situation when problems have coupled quasi-solutions. We illustrate our results by three examples.
