Determination of metals in water samples by atomic absorption spectrometry and flame emission spectrometry
PublikacjaMetal species in environmental waters are relevant to characterize the metal toxicity, the mobility between different environmental compartments, and for remediation purposes in case of contamination. The concentration of many trace metals in natural water samples are generally at µg/l level. The paper describes determination of metals in water samples based on flame atomic emission and flame atomic absorption spectrometry.

Equitable coloring of corona multiproducts of graphs
PublikacjaWe give some results regarding the equitable chromatic number for l-corona product of two graphs: G and H, where G is an equitably 3- or 4-colorable graph and H is an r-partite graph, a cycle or a complete graph. Our proofs lead to polynomial algorithms for equitable coloring of such graph products provided that there is given an equitable coloring of G.

The effect of surfactants on activated sludge process
PublikacjaBadano wpływ anionowego surfaktantu (SDBS) na proces biologicznego oczyszczania ścieków metoda osadu czynnego. Stwierdzono, że stężenie SDBS powyżej 50 mg/l miało wyraźny wpływ na przemiany związków azotu i fosforu w czasie oczyszczania ścieków. Wpływ badanego związku na usuwanie związków organicznych (wyrażonych jako ChZT) był mniej wyraźny.

Homoclinic orbits for a class of singular second order Hamiltonian systems in ℝ3
PublikacjaWe consider a conservative second order Hamiltonian system \ddot{q}+ ∇V(q)=0 in R3 with a potential V having a global maximum at the origin and a line l ∩ {0} = ∅ as a set of singular points. Under a certain compactness condition on V at infinity and a strong force condition at singular points we study, by the use of variational methods and geometrical arguments, the existence of homoclinic solutions of the system.
