Simple design criteria and efficiency of hydrodynamic vortex separators
PublikacjaVortex separators are locally applied for waste water treatment in different systems - from storm waste water sewerage to water treatment in fish ponds. However, the methods for separator design presented in the literature are questionable. The paper presents two simple and functional criteria that were employed to construct a laboratory test stand. The test results gave positive feed back on the efficiency of vortex separators.

Waveform design for fast clutter cancellation in noise radars
PublikacjaCanceling clutter is an important, but computation-ally intensive part of signal processing in noise radars. It is shown that considerable improvements can be made to a simple least squares canceler if minor constraints are imposed onto noise waveform. The proposed scheme is potentially capable of canceling clutter in real-time, even for high sampling rates.

Design of Inner Gate for CRIST Shipyard Dry Dock
PublikacjaThe paper deals with a removable steel inner gate which was designed to separate two parts of a dry dock of about 70 m in width and 380 m in length. The gate allows for independent assembly of ship structures in two separated parts of the dock. The fore part of the dock can be flooded while the after part is dry. Tthe gate was designed by IDEK Company Ltd in 2011 and it was soon constructed and used by CRIST Shipyard in Gdynia.
