COMPOSITION OF BIOACTIVE SECONDARY METABOLITES AND MUTAGENICITY OF SAMBUCUS NIGRA L. FRUIT AT DIFFERENT STAGES OF RIPENESS
PublicationThe relationship between the content of bioactive compounds and mutagenic activity of elderberry fruit at different stages of ripeness was investigated. Signifi cant differences in the antioxidant profi les (TLC, HPLC with post-column derivatization) and antioxidant activity (ABTS, DPPH, and FC tests) were observed for studied elderberry extracts. The more ripen the fruit at the time of harvest were, the higher the content of...

Relationship between Chemical Structure and Biological Activity Evaluated In Vitro for Six Anthocyanidins Most Commonly Occurring in Edible Plants
PublicationNumerous studies have provided evidence that diets rich in anthocyanins show a broad spectrum of health benefits. Anthocyanins in nature are usually found in the form of glycosides. Their aglycone forms are called anthocyanidins. The chemical structure of anthocyanins is based on the flavylium cation, but they differ in the position and number of substituents. However, the bioactives and foods that contain them are frequently treated...

From ashes to porous hierarchical nanocarbon electrode: Upcycling secondary waste materials through self-catalytic chemical vapour deposition
PublicationMetal and metal oxide particles are abundant in various ash-based wastes. Utilizing these as catalyst sources for the fabrication of carbon nanomaterials could present a valuable approach to reduce our reliance on non-renewable and costly catalyst sources, thereby facilitating large-scale nanomaterial production. In this context, secondary waste materials (SWMs) are by-products resulting from the (complete or partial) combustion...

Porównanie przebiegu enzymatycznej hydrolizy oleju rzepakowego i strukturyzowanych lipidów zawierających kwas behenowy. The comparision on the course of enzymatic hydrolysis of rapeseed oil and structured lipids containing behenoic acid.
PublicationPorównywano przebieg enzymatycznej hydrolizy oleju rzepakowego i strukturyzowanych lipidów zawierających kwas behenowy (C22:0).
