PublicationPrzedstawiono wykorzystanie biomasy do produkcji energii w Szwecji gdzie w1999 roku udział biomasy stanowił 14%. Większa część biomasy jest wykorzystywana w przemyśle drzewnym (63%) oraz jako paliwo w systemach ciepłowniczych (23%). Dominującym rodzajem biomasy jest drewno pochodzące z lasów oraz z przemysłu drzewnego. Znaczący wpływ na wzrost zużycia biomasy miała struktura paliw i polityka podatkowa państwa.
