Application of data driven methods in diagnostic of selected process faults of nuclear power plant steam turbine
PublicationArticle presents a comparison of process anomaly detection in nuclear power plant steam turbine using combination of data driven methods. Three types of faults are considered: water hammering, fouling and thermocouple fault. As a virtual plant a nonlinear, dynamic, mathe- matical steam turbine model is used. Two approaches for fault detection using one class and two class classiers are tested and compared.

The Principles of Model Building Concepts Which Are Applied to the Design Patterns for Smart Cities
PublicationThe involvement of citizens into decision-making processes is one of the main features of smart cities. Such commitment is reflected in the form of requirements towards the city, and the benefits which are expected from the city. Requirements and benefits are thus the primary language of communication between decision-makers and urban residents. To develop such a language, it becomes necessary to develop design patterns for Smart...

Post‐Second World War Reconstruction of Polish Cities: The Interplay Between Politics and Paradigms
PublicationBy the end of the Second World War, many of the Polish cities—and especially their historic centres—were in ruins. This was caused by both bombings and sieges conducted by the Nazis and Soviets. The particular group of cities is associated with former German lands—now called the “Recovered Territories”—which were incorporated into the borders of Poland as compensation for its Eastern Borderlands lost to the Soviet Union. These...
