Enhanced Remote Control Providing Medical Functionalities
PublicationThis paper presents the enhanced remote control and its role in pervasive healthcare in the home. The device was equipped with health-related measurement modules and a message-processing unit. Preliminary results are presented for monitoring of a pulse, hand tremors, grip forces, and for self evaluation procedures. Design of new cholinesterase inhibitors based on phosphorus analogs of tacrine as potential anti-Alzheimer’s disease agents
PublicationBased on the analysis of the determined free binding energy (using the AutoDock Vina 1.1.2 docking program), the most potent cholinesterase inhibitors were selected. Moreover, studies of 3D visualization of the results of molecular modeling led to the identification of potential sites for the interaction of new potential inhibitors with amino acid residues building active sites of investigated cholinesterases.

Selective jamming of OFDM transmission in NB-IoT radio interface
PublicationThe paper presents the concept of smart jamming, which involves selective interference aimed at critical components of the OFDM signal. Research verifying the feasibility of this type of electronic attack are described. A realized testbed for jamming real NB-IoT signals in a downlink is presented. The test results demonstrate the feasibility of realizing selective jamming and its greater effectiveness compared to barrage interference.
