PublikacjaW ostatnich latach coraz częściej do oceny jakości środowiska wykorzystuje się tzw. narzędzia zintegrowane, czyli połączenie analiz chemicznych z mikrobiotestami. Umożliwić to ma identyfikację potencjalnych źródeł toksyczności w analizowanych próbkach. Niestety, znalezienie wyraźnych korelacji pomiędzy wynikami analiz chemicznych oraz oszacowanymi parametrami toksyczności nie jest prostym zadaniem i nastręcza wiele trudności.
