Zero-Visibility Cops and Robber Game on a Graph
PublikacjaWe examine the zero-visibility cops and robber graph searching model, which differs from the classical cops & robber game in one way: the robber is invisible. PublikacjaIn the paper a system for controlling computer applications by hand gestures is presented. First, selected methods used for gesture recognition are described. The system hardware and a way of controlling a computer by gestures are described. The architecture of the software along with hand gesture recognition methods and algorithms used are presented. DBpedia As a Formal Knowledge Base – An Evaluation
PublikacjaDBpedia is widely used by researchers as a mean of accessing Wikipedia in a standardized way. In this paper it is characterized from the point of view of questions answering system. Simple implementation of such system is also presented. The paper also characterizes alternatives to DBpedia in form of OpenCyc and YAGO knowledge bases. A comparison between DBpedia and those knowledge bases is presented.

PublikacjaIn the paper, new trends in development of microchannel heat exchangers are presented. The exchangers developed in this way can be applied in marine applications. Main attention was focused on heat exchangers design with reduced size of passages namely based on microchannels. Dedicated scheduling of tasks to minimize mean flow time
PublikacjaThis paper investigates the complexity of scheduling biprocessor tasks on dedicated processors to minimize mean flow time. Since the general problem is strongly NP-hard, we assume some restrictions on task lengths and the structure of associated scheduling graphs. Of particular interest are acyclic graphs. In this way we identify a borderline between NP-hard and polynomially solvable special cases.
