FE-analysis of contractant shear zones in loose granular materials

FE-simulations of size effects in granular and quasi-brittle materials
PublicationW artykule przedstawiono symulacje efektów skali w materiałach granulowanych i kruchych. Obliczenia wykonano dla ściskania dwuosiowego i fundamentu w przypadku materiałów granulowanych oraz belek zginanych w przypadku materiałów kruchych. Do obliczeń wykorzystano mikropolarne prawo hipoplastyczne i sprężysto-plastyczne prawo z nielokalnym osłabieniem.

Modelling of fracture process in brittle materials using a lattice model

Powering the Future by Iron Sulfide Type Material (FexSy) Based Electrochemical Materials for Water Splitting and Energy Storage Applications: A Review
PublicationWater electrolysis is among the recent alternatives for generating clean fuels (hydrogen). It is an efficient way to produce pure hydrogen at a rapid pace with no unwanted by-products. Effective and cheap water-splitting electrocatalysts with enhanced activity, specificity, and stability are currently widely studied. In this regard, noble metal-free transition metal-based catalysts are of high interest. Iron sulfide (FeS) is one...

Coupled evolution of preferential paths for force and damage in the pre-failure regime in disordered and heterogeneous, quasi-brittle granular materials.
PublicationMetoda elementów dyskretnych (DEM) została wykorzystana do symulacji betonu poddanego jednoosiowemu rozciąganiu.

A nontargeted approach to determine the authenticity of Ginkgo biloba L. plant materials and dried leaf extracts by liquid chromatography-high-resolution mass spectrometry (LC-HRMS) and chemometrics
PublicationThe lack of stringent regulations regarding raw materials for herbal supplements used for medicinal purposes has been a constant challenge in the industry. Ginkgo biloba L. leaf extracts attract consumers because of the supposed positive effect on mental performance and memory. Supplements are produced using dried leaf materials and standardized leaf extracts such as EGb 761. Adulteration of Ginkgo biloba L. plants and extracts...

Induction Assisted Hybrid Friction Stir Welding of Dissimilar Materials AA5052 Aluminium Alloy and X12Cr13 Stainless Steel
PublicationThis research aimed to study the induction in-situ heated hybrid friction stir welding (IAFSW) method to join AA5052 aluminium alloy with X12Cr13 stainless steel (SS) to enhance joint strength. The potency of this method on the mechanical properties and microstructural characterizations were also investigated. The results show that the transverse tensile strength gained was 94% of the AA5052 base metal that is 229.5 MPa. This superior...

The XRD diffraction patterns of as-preapred (La0.3Sr0.6Ce0.1)0.9FexTi(1-x)O3-δ (x=0.1, 0.2 and 0.3) materials
Open Research DataThe (La0.3Sr0.6Ce0.1)0.9FexTi(1-x)O3-δ (x=0.1, 0.2 and 0.3) materials were synthesized via the Pechini method. First, the reagents in the form of nitrates were weighed and dissolved in DI water. In another beaker, a stoichiometric amount of titanium (IV) butoxide (Ti(OBu)4) was mixed together with reagent-grade ethylene glycol (EG), and citric acid...

The XRD diffraction patterns of as-prepared (La0.3Sr0.6Ce0.1)0.9FexMeyTi(1-x-y)O3-δ materials (Me=Ni,Co)
Open Research DataThe (La0.3Sr0.6Ce0.1)0.9FexMeyTi(1-x-y)O3-δ materials (Me=Ni,Co) were synthesized via the Pechini method. First, the reagents in the form of nitrates were weighed and dissolved in DI water. In another beaker, a stoichiometric amount of titanium (IV) butoxide (Ti(OBu)4) was mixed together with reagent-grade ethylene glycol (EG), and citric acid (CA)...

The valance state of vanadium-key factor in the flexibility of potassium vanadates structure as cathode materials in Li-ion batteries
PublicationPotassium hexavanadate (K2V6O16·nH2O) nanobelts have been synthesized by the LPE-IonEx method, which is dedicated to synthesis of transition metal oxide bronzes with controlled morphology and structure. The electrochemical performance of K2V6O16·nH2O as a cathode material for lithium-ion batteries has been evaluated. The KVO nanobelts demonstrated a high discharge capacity of 260 mAh g−1, and long-term cyclic stability up to 100...
