Interaction between acoustic and non-acoustic mode in bubbly liquid
PublicationThe nonlinear interaction of acoustic and entropy modes in a bubbly liquid is the subject of investigation. Thedynamic equation governing an excess density of the entropy mode is derived. Nonlinearity and dispersion are the reasons forexcitation of the entropy mode. The nonlinear interaction of modes as a reason for bubble to grow due to sound, is discovered. Some numerical examples of the modes interactions are made.

A proposition for integrating elements of game universe by means of behavioral trees
PublicationModern computer games often involve autonomous beings collaborating and competing with each other to reach their objectives in the game universe. It seems only natural to use agent-oriented approach in such cases. This article identifies the rules of building a game universe as an environment for executing agents. The paper also covers a method for decomposing compound behaviors into behavioral trees. Dividing complex behaviors...

Profile irregularities of turned surfaces as a result of machine tool interactions
PublicationThe paper describes the influence of the machining operation on a surface, which disturbs the projection of the tool profile in the form of its relative movements with respect to the object. The elements of the machine tool undergo constant wear during the machining process, it is therefore important to recognize the effects of their influence on the surface's irregularities. Amplitude-frequency analysis of lateral profiles has...

A tool for integrating Web Site services over User Interface
PublicationCompanies and organizations are building information systems by integrating previously independent applications, together with new developments. This integration process has to deal with existing applications, which can only be used through their specific interfaces, and often cannot be modified. Integration of web applications running remotely and controlled by separate organizations becomes even more complicated, as their user...

Integrating web site services into application through user interface
PublicationThe issue of integrating applications which are only accessible through visual user interface is not thoroughly researched. Integration of web applications running remotely and controlled by separate organizations becomes even more complicated, as their user interface can display differently in different browsers or change without prior notification as a result of application maintenance. While possible, it is generally not common...

Nonlinear Interaction of Modes in a Planar Flow of a Gas with Viscous and Thermal Attenuation
PublicationThe nonlinear interaction of wave and non-wave modes in a gas planar flow are considered. Attention is mainly paid to the case when one sound mode is dominant and excites the counter-propagating sound mode and the entropy mode. The modes are determined by links between perturbations of pressure, density, and fluid velocity. This definition follows from the linear conservation equations in the differential form and thermodynamic...

The equations for interactions of polarization modes in optical fibres including the kerr effect
PublicationWe have derived coupled nonlinear Schro¨ dinger equations (CNLSE) for arbitrary polarized light propagation in a single-mode fibre employing electromagnetic field complete description. We used a basis of transverse eigenmodes with appropriate projecting; hence, the nonlinear constants depend on the waveguide geometry. Accounting for a weak nonlinearity, which is connected to the Kerr effect, we have given explicit expressions for...
