PublicationIn the paper a modified gradient method has been proposed for position calculation on basis of distance measurement in indoor environment. It is shown that the well-known Chan method of position calculation is inefficient in indoor circumstances. Local variance factors in deformation analysis of non-homogenous monitoring networks
PublicationThis paper proposes a modification of the classical deformation analysis algorithm for non-homogeneous (e.g. linear-angular) monitoring networks. The basis for the proposed solution is the idea of local variance factors. The theoretical discussion was complemented with an example of its application on a simulated horizontal monitoring network. The obtained results confirm the usefulness of the proposed solution.

Direct detection of quantum entanglement
PublicationBasing on positive maps separability criterion we propose the experimentally viable, direct detection of quantum entanglement. It is efficient and does not require any a priori knowledge about the state. For two qubits it provides a sharp (i.e., “if and only if”) separability test and estimation of amount of entanglement. We view this method as a new form of quantum computation, namely, as a decision problem with quantum data structure.

Fast Algorithms for Identification of Time-Varying Systems with Both Smooth and Discontinuous Parameter Changes
PublicationThe problem of noncausal identification of a time-varying linear system subject to both smooth and occasional jump-type changes is considered and solved using the preestimation technique combined with the basis function approach to modeling the variability of system parameters. The proposed estimation algorithms yield very good parameter tracking results and are computationally attractive.

PublicationThe article presents a new electromechanical model of inductive-dynamic drive. The model is implemented in two environments: Maxwell for analyzing electrodynamic phenomena including moving of the disc and Ansys which allows for stress analysis on the basis of the volume forces imported from Maxwell.
