Sufficient conditions which guarantee the existence of extremal, unique and quasi-solutions are given. Three examples illustrate the results.

Multiple Solutions to Third-Order Differential Equations with Derivative Dependence and Deviating Arguments
PublikacjaIn this paper, we give some new results for multiplicity of positive (nonnegative) solutions for third-order differential equations with derivative dependence, deviating arguments and Stieltjes integral boundary conditions. It means that argument β can change the character on [0,1], so β can be delayed in some set J ⊂ [0,1] and advanced...

M-integral for finite anti-plane shear of a nonlinear elastic matrix with rigid inclusions

In this paper we formulate the M-integral for a class of hyperelastic solids undergoing finite anti-plane shear deformation. As an application we consider the problem...

Convergence of Monte Carlo algorithm for solving integral equations in light scattering simulations
PublikacjaThe light scattering process can be modeled mathematically using the Fredholm integral equation. This equation is usually solved after its discretization and transformation into the system of algebraic equations. Volume integral equations can be also solved without discretization using the Monte Carlo (MC) algorithm, but its application to the light scattering simulations has not been sufficiently studied. Here we present implementation...

Theoretical elastic differential, integral and momentum-transfer cross sections are calculated at impact energies up to 30 eV, employing the Schwinger multichannel...

Electron Scattering from Methyl Formate (HCOOCH3): A Joint Theoretical and Experimental Study
PublikacjaElastic low-energy electron collisions with methyl formate have been studied theoretically at the level of various theories. The elastic integral cross section was calculated using Schwinger multichannel and R-matrix methods, in the static-exchange and static-exchange plus polarization levels of approximations for energies up to 15 eV. The absolute total cross section for electron scattering from methyl formate has been measured...

Two families of infinitely many homoclinics for singular strong force Hamiltonian systems
PublikacjaWe are concerned with a planar autonomous Hamiltonian system with a potential possessing a single well of infinite depth at a point X and a unique strict global maximum 0 at a point A. Under a strong force condition around the singularity X, via minimization of an action integral and using a shadowing chain lemma together with simple geometrical arguments, we prove the existence of infinitely many geometrically distinct homoclinic...

Fractional-order Systems and Synchronous Generator Voltage Regulator
PublikacjaModern regulators of synchronous generators, including voltage regulators, are digital systems, in their vast majority with standard structures contained in the IEEE standard. These are systems described with stationary differential equations of integral order. Differential equations of fractional order are not employed in regulators for synchronous generator control. This paper presents an analysis of the possibilities of using...

Correlation–polarization effects in electron/positron scattering from acetylene: A comparison of computational models
PublikacjaDifferent computational methods are employed to evaluate elastic (rotationally summed) integral and differential cross sections for low energy (below about 10 eV) positron scattering off gas-phase C2H2 molecules. The computations are carried out at the static and static-plus-polarization levels for describing the interaction forces and the correlation–polarization contributions are found to be an essential component for the correct...

KOLMOGOROV EQUATION SOLUTION: MULTIPLE SCATTERING EXPANSION AND PHOTON STATISTICS EVOLUTION MODELING
PublikacjaWe consider a formulation of the Cauchy problem for the Kolmogorov equation which corresponds to a localized source of particles to be scattered by a medium with a given scattering amplitude density. The multiple scattering amplitudes are introduced and the corresponding series solution of the equation is constructed. We investigate the integral representation for the first series terms, its estimations and values of the photon...

Low energy elastic scattering of electrons from hexafluoropropene (C3F6)
PublikacjaWe present cross sections from a joint experimental and theoretical study on elastic electron scattering from hexafluoropropene (C3F6) in the gas phase. The experimental results, using low energy electron spectroscopy, were obtained at incident electron energies of 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 12, 15 and 20 eV, for scattering angles ranging from 10°to 130°. The theoretical method used in the computation of the integral, momentum...

Low energy elastic electron scattering from benzonitrile (C6H5CN)
PublikacjaWe present experimental differential elastic scattering cross sections (DCSs) for low energy electron scattering from benzonitrile along with integral and momentum-transfer cross sections that are determined from these DCSs. The measurements of DCSs are obtained using the relative flow method with helium as the standard gas, in a crossed electron-molecular gas beam arrangement. Our measurements are made at incident electron energies...
