Stress analysis of the bridge hangers in terms of the fatigue verification
PublicationThe paper presents the results of numerical stress analysis of the bridge rod hangers. Two types of hangers were taken into account, i.e. the bolted hanger and the welded hanger. A detailed FEM shell models of the connection area between the hanger and the bridge span have been developed. PublicationSubstantial variations of magnetospheric electron fluxes of low and intermediate energies at an altitude of ~ 800 km at different phases of the geomagnetic storm were investigated. The ionosphere and plasmasphere response was analyzed using TEC variation maps over the Central Europe. PublicationThis paper presents problems caused by connecting wind farms to a power system with high voltage cables. The author highlights possible problems with reactive power compensation, depending on the arrangement of the shunt reactor connection and settings of control systems for reactive power and voltage of the wind farm. Measurement system based on USB Z-Wave controller
PublicationA wireless measurement system based on the Z-Wave standard is presented in this paper. The system is composed of a U SB Z-Stick Gen5 controller connected to a Personal Computer and a Fibaro controller FGRGBWM-441. Operation of the system is controlled by software written in C++ using OpenZWave library. PublicationThis paper presents difficulties encountered when designing protection devices for shunt reactors connected directly to extra-high voltage grids. A space-efficient algorithm for computing the minimum cycle mean in a directed graph
PublicationAn algorithm is introduced for computing the minimum cycle mean in a strongly connected directed graph with n vertices and m arcs that requires O(n) working space. This is a considerable improvement for sparse graphs in comparison to the classical algorithms that require O(n^2) working space. The time complexity of the algorithm is still O(nm).
