Pedestrian and bicycle bridges as examples of safe collision-free road crossings
PublicationPedestrians are most at risk when they are crossing the road. This represents a significant proportion of all fatalities among pedestrians, amounting respectively to 50% in non-built-up areas and 75% in built-up areas. The most frequent reason for this accident is failure to give way. What is most terrible is that 30% of pedestrian accidents occurred at marked pedestrian crossings. Therefore, an important part of pedestrian safety...

The influence of accumulation area and the length of pedestrian route on functioning of roundabouts with traffic signals
Publicationtraffic volumes. This kind of intersection is commonly used in the centres of Polish cities on multilane roads and fairly common in the case of tram lines running through a central island. The increase of traffic flow volumes on left turn and U-turn has made this type of roundabout difficult to operate. Small storage areas around central islands are critical places that significantly influence the capacity of this kind of intersection....

Curves of thermodynamic states in some fluids with dispersion
Publicationvariations in the thermodynamic state of a dispersive medium, caused by sound, are studied. A bubbly liquid and a Maxwell fluid are considered as examples. Curves in the plane of thermodynamic states are plotted. Why is IPv6 Deployment Important for the Internet Evolution?
PublicationAbstract-Replacing the IPv4 protocol with IPv6 on the Internet is currently one of the aims of the European Union policy.
