Weather Hazard Avoidance in Modeling Safety of Motor-Driven Ship for Multicriteria Weather Routing
PublikacjaWeather routing methods find the most suitable ocean?s route for a vessel, taking into account changeable weather conditions and navigational constraints. In the multicriteria approach based on the evolutionary SPEA algorithm one is able to consider a few constrained criteria simultaneously. The approach applied for a ship with hybrid propulsions has already been presented by one of the authors on previous TransNav?2009. This time...

Routing decisions independent of queuing delays in broadband leo networks
PublikacjaThis paper presents an analysis of queuing and propagation delays of Inter-Satellite Links (ISLs) in broadband Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite networks. It is shown that queuing delays are negligible in all reasonable working conditions of the broadband ISL network. This fact makes it possible to simplify the routing protocols in such networks and permits using already known multi-commodity flow solutions for routing. The performance...

Local buckling and initial post-buckling behaviour of channel member flange - analytical approach
PublikacjaThe local buckling and initial post-buckling behaviour of the cold-formed channel member flange is investigated. The governing nonlinear differential equation for axially compressed columns and beams undergoing pure bending is derived using the stationary total potential energy principle. The critical stress and initial post-buckling equilibrium path is determined by means of a perturbation approach. The results obtained allow...

Equitable coloring of corona products of graphs
PublikacjaIn this paper we consider an equitable coloring of some corona products of graphs G and H in symbols, G o H). In particular, we show that deciding the colorability of G o H is NP-complete even if G is 4-regular and H is K_2. Next, we prove exact values or upper bounds on the equitable chromatic number of G o H, where G is an equitably 3- or 4-colorable graph and H is an r-partite graph, a path, a cycle or a complete graph.
