Unlocking creativity with new technologies
PublicationArtificial intelligence, augmented and virtual reality, Internet of Things and digital twins are just a few concepts related to the fourth industrial revolution that is happening right before our eyes. The key question asked by managers in the aerosol sector recently is: what does all this new technology mean to me?

Post‐Second World War Reconstruction of Polish Cities: The Interplay Between Politics and Paradigms
PublicationBy the end of the Second World War, many of the Polish cities—and especially their historic centres—were in ruins. This was caused by both bombings and sieges conducted by the Nazis and Soviets. The particular group of cities is associated with former German lands—now called the “Recovered Territories”—which were incorporated into the borders of Poland as compensation for its Eastern Borderlands lost to the Soviet Union. These...

Connected & Automated Urban Mobility, Zombie Cars and Kitchen Knives: Will Autonomous Automobiles, Self-Driving Car-Sharing and Ride-Hailing, and Driverless Shuttles Harm Cities?
PublicationThere is a deficiency of supportive evidence to verify thesis that cities are prepared for mobility revolution which already begun and will advance exponentially. Furthermore, present revisions mostly emphasize how emerging mobility solutions will alter transport efficiency or affect mass transit usage, rather than on urban morphology, metropolitan society, nor local communities. Author is thoroughly concerned that municipalities...

At every space location, the resulting acoustic field is described by a pair of physical variables characterising the time evolution of...

Influence of conductive carbon and MnCo2O4 on morphological and electrical properties of hydrogels for electrochemical energy conversion
PublicationIn this work, a strategy for one-stage synthesis of polymer composites based on PNIPAAm hydrogel was presented. Both conductive particles in the form of conductive carbon black (cCB) and MnCo2O4 (MCO) spinel particles were suspended in the three-dimensional structure of the hydrogel. The MCO particles in the resulting hydrogel composite acted as an electrocatalyst in the oxygen evolution reaction. Morphological studies confirmed...

Wavepacket of the Universe and its Spreading
PublicationWavepackets in quantum mechanics spread and the Universe in cosmology expands. We discuss a formalism where the two effects can be unified. The basic assumption is that the Universe is determined by a unitarily evolving wavepacket defined on space-time. Space-time is static but the Universe is dynamic. Spreading analogous to expansion known from observational cosmology is obtained if one regards time evolution as a dynamical process...

GENERAL DYNAMIC PROJECTING OF MAXWELL EQUATIONS
PublicationA complete – system of Maxwell equations is splitting into independent subsystems by means of a special dynamic projecting technique. The technique relies upon a direct link between field components that determine correspondent subspaces. The explicit form of links and corresponding subspace evolution equations are obtained in conditions of certain symmetry, it is illustrated by examples of spherical and quasi-one-dimensional waves.

Modal FEM Analysis of Ferrite Resonant Structures
PublicationThe finite-element method (FEM) is applied for modal analysis of ferrite-loaded spherical resonators. To improve the efficiency of the numerical calculations, the body-of-revolution (BOR) technique is utilized. Due to the frequency-dependent ferrite permeability, FEM leads to a nonlinear eigenvalue problem that is challenging to solve. To this end, Beyn’s method is proposed. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is confirmed...

General solution of quantum mechanical equations of motion with time-dependent Hamiltonians: A Lie algebraic approach

In these cases we give explicit formulae for obtaining general solutions from special ones. We show that the constructions...
