Influence of geometrical imperfections on stresses in cylindrical shells
PublicationResults of the numerical analysis of the shells of storage tanks of 50 000 m3 capacity with geometrical imperfections are presented in the paper. Results were verified by tensometric tests performed on the real tank. It was recognized that real geometrical imperfections cause increase of stresses in the tank construction by 30%.

Solution of coupled integral equations for quantum scattering in the presence of complex potentials
PublicationIn this paper, we present a method to compute solutions of coupled integral equations for quantum scattering problems in the presence of a complex potential. Comparative analysis of the theoretical models of ideal propulsor, ideal fluid brake, ideal screw propeller and ideal axial wind turbine
PublicationThe article presents a detailed discussion of four different fluid dynamics devices.These devices are presented with all relevant mathematical formulae regarding the forces, the power and the efficiency. It is demonstrated that application of the Betz theorem to axial wind turbines is not correct and it underestimates the maximujm achievable efficiency.
