Analysis of graphene multi-strip planar guiding structures with the use of spectral domain approach
PublikacjaSpectral domain approach is modified and used to analyze some simple structures containing graphene strips. The modification is simple and concerns the Green’s function only. Moreover, the method is combined with the recently published root finding algorithms, which significantly improve the efficiency of the analysis. The results obtained for a simple guiding structure is verified and the field displacement effect is confirmed.

PublikacjaThe authors conducted a research experiment to verify the hypothesis that it is possible to preserve the mesh in the operating field in large direct hernias (M3) without the need to use fixing materials. The results showed that mesh fixation is not the only alternative to preventing recurrence in complex defects and that the type of implant seems to be a key factor from the point of view of mechanics and biophysics.

The concept of capillary forces supported evaporator for application to domestic ORC unit
PublikacjaIn the paper presented are studies on the investigation of the capillary forces effect inducted in the porous structure of a loop heat pipe. The potential application of such heat exchanger is for example an evaporator of the domestic micro CHP unit. Direct detection of quantum entanglement
PublikacjaBasing on positive maps separability criterion we propose the experimentally viable, direct detection of quantum entanglement. It is efficient and does not require any a priori knowledge about the state. For two qubits it provides a sharp (i.e., “if and only if”) separability test and estimation of amount of entanglement. We view this method as a new form of quantum computation, namely, as a decision problem with quantum data structure.

Portable raman spectrometer with two excitation wavelengths
PublikacjaSelected problems of development of a portable Raman spectrometer having small size, reduced power consumption and robust construction are shown. The device dedicated for semiskilled personnel uses two lasers: 785nm and 355nm. Results of preliminary tests are presented. Dual polarization antennas for UHF RFID readers
PublikacjaThis paper presents various concepts of switching polarization in patch antenna dedicated for UHF RFID readers. Proposed designs allow for switching between linear and circular polarization. Extraction of antenna pattern from near field antenna measurements distorted by undesired emission
PublikacjaIn this paper authors present experimental correction of antenna pattern obtained from near field measurements when they are distorted by determined electromagnetic emission. Such situation may be met e.g. when feeding or supply subsystem interacts with antenna radiation pattern due to self-emission. Presented results of experiments show effectiveness of extraction of antenna pattern utilizing near field antenna measurements.
