Health monitoring services based on off-the-shelf mobile devices
PublicationDevelopment of health monitoring systems usually involves usage of dedicated devices with provided guarantees in terms of their reliability. Those devices raise the cost of the whole system, because of which such platforms are limited only to specific areas and constrained number of users. Three-dimensional representation of geographic data in a Web-based GIS
PublicationPresenting geographic data in a web environment has been a long standing problem. For many years the low performance of web browsers has limited the visualization of spatial data to only two dimensions. More recently, the introduction of open standards for 3D acceleration of web applications sparked the emergence of new methods of presenting three-dimensional data in a web browser without using third-party extensions. However,...

On Sample Rate Conversion Based on Variable Fractional Delay Filters
PublicationThe sample rate conversion algorithm based on variable fractional delay filters is often used if the resampling ratio cannot be expressed as the ratio of small integer numbers or if it is not constant. The main advantage of such solution is that it allows for arbitrary resampling ratios which can even be changed during the resampling process. In this paper a discussion on influence of different approaches to fractional filter...
