Discouraging Traffic Remapping Attacks in Local Ad Hoc Networks
PublicationQuality of Service (QoS) is usually provided in ad hoc networks using a class-based approach which, without dedicated security measures in place, paves the way to various abuses by selfish stations. Measurement system based on USB Z-Wave controller
PublicationA wireless measurement system based on the Z-Wave standard is presented in this paper. The system is composed of a U SB Z-Stick Gen5 controller connected to a Personal Computer and a Fibaro controller FGRGBWM-441. Operation of the system is controlled by software written in C++ using OpenZWave library. Some metrological aspects of the system are evaluated: accuracy, linearity, resolution and frequency of voltage measurements.

A concept of measurement system based on the Z-Wave standard
PublicationIn the paper a new concept of measurement system based on the Z-Wave standard is presented. This standard is dedicated to use mainly in home automation systems, but its properties enable to use it in dispersed measurement systems and support wireless communication between measurement nodes in a mesh-type network. In the paper basic metrological aspects of the Z-Wave standard and an example of impedance measurement system are discussed.

Spectroscopic wireless sensor of hematocrit level
PublicationAn optical method for hematocrit measurement is presented. The sensor, designed and developed by authors, consists of a spectroscopic set-up and a microcontroller. The work of the sensor is based on measurement of intensity of two selected spectral bands. Tests confirmed the ability of the sensor to determine the hematocrit level with appropriate measurement accuracy. Measurement results can be transmitted via wireless module to...

Transmission protocol simulation framework for the resource-constrained sensor network
PublicationIn this paper the simulation framework for simulation of the sensor network protocol is presented. The framework enables the simultaneous development of the sensor network software and the protocol for the wireless data transmission. The advantage of using the framework is the convergence of the simulation with the real software, because the same software is used in real sensor network nodes and in the simulation framework. The...

Optimal Multivariable Control for Modified Z-source Based IPT
PublicationThis paper describes Z-source based inductive power transfer topologies control approaches. The goal of this work is a multi-variable control approach which involves a constant voltage/constant current control along with an optimal frequency control to obtain maximum efficiency. This control is applied to the wireless power transfer system based on a modified Z-source topology. The description of the control method along with simulation...

Ocena efektywności standardu ieee 802.11b w otoczeniu sieci Bluetooth

Substrate Integrated Waveguide-Based Frequency-Tunable Self-Octaplexing Antenna
PublicationThis communication presents the first-ever substrate integrated waveguide (SIW)-based frequency-tunable self-octaplexing antenna (SOA) for wireless communication. The structure is arranged by implementing eight distinct patches with planar 50-ohm feedlines at the top of the SIW cavity, which realize eight distinct resonant frequencies. Independent tuning of each resonant frequency is achieved by incorporating appropriately allocated...
