Determination of the optimal curvature of the turnout diverging track for HSR using dynamic analysis
PublikacjaThe paper presents an analytical method of identifying the curvature of the turnout diverging track consisting of sections of varying curvature. Such turnout is mainly applied on High Speed Railway. Both linear and nonlinear (polynomial) curvatures of the turnout diverging track are considered in the paper. Obtained solutions enable to assume curvature values at the beginning and end point of the geometrical layout of the turnout.The...

Synthesis and polymerisation techniques of molecularly imprinted polymers
PublikacjaMolecularly Imprinted Polymers (MIPs) are materials that has been processed using the molecular imprinting technique which permit to obtain well-defined three-dimensional cavities, with affinity to a template molecule, in the polymer matrix. Technology involves three strategies, i.e., covalent, non-covalent and semi-covalent approach, but the most popular is non-covalent approach. The most important components for the synthesis...

Instantaneous impedance monitoring of synergistic effect between cavitation erosion and corrosion processes
PublikacjaThe most common method of determination of cavitation erosion resistance as well as the magnitude of erosion-corrosion synergistic interaction is based on the weight loss measurements. Nondestructive characterization of installations elements is in most cases impossible to perform. Also, such a measurement does not include local types of failure or alteration of operating conditions. There is an urge to elaborate a method for monitoring...

Entanglement-swapping boxes and their communication properties
PublikacjaWe pose the fundamental question of communication properties of primitives irrespectively of their implementation. To illustrate the idea we introduce the concept of entanglement-swapping boxes, i.e., we consider any quantum operations which perform entanglement swapping, not necessarily via simple quantum teleportation. We ask a question about the properties of such boxes, i.e., what local operations and how much classical communication...
