Stress analysis of the bridge hangers in terms of the fatigue verification
PublicationThe paper presents the results of numerical stress analysis of the bridge rod hangers. Two types of hangers were taken into account, i.e. the bolted hanger and the welded hanger. Tracking body movement for radio channel measurements in BAN with indoor positioning system
PublicationThis paper presents indoor positioning system based on inertial navigation with additional distance measurements using UWB modems and map matching to increase accuracy and eliminate position drift. Reduced order models in computational electromagnetics (in memory of Ruediger Vahldieck)
PublicationThis paper reviews research of Ruediger Vahldieck's group and the group at the Gdansk University of Technology in the area of model order reduction techniques for accelerating full-wave simulations. The applications of reduced order models to filter design as well as of local and nested(multilevel) macromodels for solving 3D wave equations and wave-guiding problems using finite difference and finite element methods are discussed.

Observations of presumable groundwater seepage occurrence in Puck Bay (the Baltic Sea)
PublicationWe report the results of recent field measurements of seawater thermohaline structure and transparency carried out in early summer 2014 in Puck Bay. Near-bottom, less saline waters occurred almost in the entire study area. Their occurrence in the shallow part of Puck Bay was accompanied by an increase in the seawater transparency. The most likely explanation of these observations is a submarine fresh groundwater discharge.

PublicationThe acoustic data was collected in 2018–2019 in the Bay of Puck in the seasons: autumn, winter, spring. The data was collected during the day and night using three split-beam echosounders with frequencies of 38 kHz, 120 kHz and 333 kHz at a designated study area not far from the city of Hel, while the ship was sailing.
