Application of nonmetallic frustrated cations in the activation of small molecules
PublikacjaThe concept of nonmetallic frustrated cations has been used in small molecule activation. The in situ generated ambiphilic phosphinoborinium cation activated phenyl isocyanate, diisopropylcarbodiimide, and acetonitrile under very mild conditions without any catalyst, yielding single-, double-, or mixed-activation products. Furthermore, the mechanisms of the reactions of the phosphinoborinium cation with small molecules were elucidated...

Refinement of the Hardening Soil model within the small strain range
PublikacjaThe popularity of the elasto-plastic Hardening Soil (HS) model is based on simple parameter identification from standard testing and empirical formulas. The HS model is implemented in many commercial FE codes designed to analyse geotechnical problems. In its basic version, the stress–strain behaviour within the elastic range is subject to the hypoelastic power law, which assures the barotropy of the elastic stiffness. However,...

CSR and small business from the international and national perspective
PublikacjaCorporate and social responsibility is nowadays quite a popular topic among large companies but thanks to numerous popularization activities undertaken by national and international institutions, also small entrepreneurs become more and more interested in exploring this fairly new approach. This paper outlines the main differences between the implementation of the CSR approach in large companies and in SMEs, which are not able...

A quasi-2D small-signal MOSFET model - main results
PublikacjaDynamic properties of the MOS transistor under small-signal excitation are determined by kinetic parameters of the carriers injected into the channel, i.e., the low-field mobility, velocity saturation, mobility at the quiescent-point (Q-point), longitudinal electric field in the channel, by dynamic properties of the channel, as well as by an electrical coupling between the perturbed carrier concentration in the channel and the...
