About nutrient liquid flow between potential flow and cartilage surface in bioreactor
PublikacjaW niniejszej pracy wyznaczony został przepływ cieczy odżywczej o właściwościach nienewtonowskich w cienkiej warstwie granicznej w pobliżu powierzchni komórek chrząstki (chondrocytu) podczas hodowli w bioreaktorze. Ruch cieczy w warstwie granicznej jest wywołany wydatkiem przepływu dostarczanej cieczy do bioreaktora. Ponadto prędkość przepływu cieczy w warstwie granicznej wokół hodowanych komórek chrząstki stawowej jest uzależniona...

Decahedral-shaped anatase titania photocatalyst particles: Synthesis in a newly developed coaxial-flow gas-phase reactor
PublikacjaDecahedral-shaped anatase particles (DAPs) were prepared by a gas-phase process consisting of titanium(IV) chloride oxidation. The use of a coaxial-flow gas-phase reactor resulted in high reaction yield (ca. 70%) and good reproducibility of DAPs production. The influence of controlled and resultant preparation parameters on the process course and on DAPs properties (such as specific surface area, particle size and particle morphology)...

Application of normal-phase high-performance liquid chromatography followed by gas chromatography for analytics of diesel fuel additives
PublikacjaThe paper presents the results of investigations on new procedures of determination of selected cleaning additives in diesel fuel. Two procedures: one-step analysis using gas chromatography with flame ionization detection (GC-FID) or mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and a two-step procedure in which normal-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (NP-HPLC) was used for preliminary separation of the additives, were compared. The additive...

Liveness measurements using optical flow for biometric person authentication

Influence of gas parameters alteration on the form of gas-flow-impact appearing in long transportation pipelines
PublikacjaPrzy szybkich zamknięciach przepływu w długich liniach transportowych gazu, obserwuje się znaczne przesterowania ciśnienia, towarzyszące zjawiskom udarowym, wywołane zarówno falą uderzeniową jak i odbitą. Głównym czynnikiem wpływającym na postać fali uderzeniowej i jej amplitudy, jest szybkość zamykania zaworu odcinającego określona stałą czasową serwomotoru sterującego zaworem. Ponieważ obserwuje się zmiany właściwości chemicznych...

Application of dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction for the determination of selected organochlorine pesticides in honey by gas chromatography - mass spectrometry
PublikacjaDispersive liquid-liquid microextraction (DLLME) is a rapid and easy technique that consumes minute amounts of organic solvents. In this work, we present chemometric study on optimization of DLLME parameters for the extraction of aldrin, endrin, lindane, alfa-endosulfan, 4,4'-DDT and its metabolites from honey matrix. Method quantification limits (MQLs) vary between 0.3 ng/g for 2,4'-DDE and 4,4'-DDE to 13.2 ng/g for alfa-endosulfan...

Turbulent flow and heat transfer of a liquid film formed by impinging jet.
PublikacjaZaproponowano prosty model wymiany ciepła w turbulentnym filmie cieczowym utworzonym przez uderzająca strugę. Rozpatrzono dwa przypadki: przepływ rozwijający się i w pełni rozwinięty filmu cieczowego. W obu przypadkach model wyprowadzono na podstawie zmiany grubości filmu w wyniku działania sił bezwładności i sił tarcia. Wyznaczono profile prędkości w obu zakresach co umożliwia wyznaczenie współczynników wymiany ciepła.

Liquid circulation in the agitated airlift reactor with the high gas disengagement zone
PublikacjaPrzedstawiono doświadczalne zależności stopnia zatrzymania gazu i prędkości cyrkulacji cieczy od prędkości przepływu gazu i częstości obrotów mieszadła. Obserwowano wzrost prędkości cyrkulacji cieczy ze wzrostem wysokości strefy napowietrzania. Dla niskich częstości obrotów mieszadła prędkość cyrkulacji cieczy wzrastała wraz ze wzrostem prędkości przepływu gazu, natomiast dla wysokich cząstości obrotów mieszadła prędkość cyrkulacji...
