Problems of Selecting Protection for Shunt Reactors Working in Extra-High Voltage Grids
PublicationThis paper presents difficulties encountered when designing protection devices for shunt reactors connected directly to extra-high voltage grids. Using the example of the 400 kV Ełk Bis substation, it has been demonstrated that protection of a shunt reactor based on equipment using measurements of electrical signals from voltage and current transformers has its limitations and, in some cases, may be insufficient.

Clarke duality for Hamiltonian systems with nonstandard growth
PublicationWe consider the existence of periodic solutions to Hamiltonian systems with growth conditions involving G-function. We introduce the notion of symplectic G-function and provide relation for the growth of Hamiltonian in terms of certain constant CG associated to symplectic G-function G. We discuss an optimality of this constant for some special cases. We also provide applications to the Φ-laplacian type systems.

Head movement compensation algorithm in multi-display communication by gaze
PublicationAn influence of head movements on the gaze estimation accuracy when using a head mounted eye tracking system is discussed in the paper. This issue has been examined for a multi-display environment. It was found that head movement (rotation) to some extent does not influence on the gaze estimation accuracy seriously.
