Prevalence Problem in the Set of Quadratic Stochastic Operators Acting on L1
PublikacjaThis paper is devoted to the study of the problem of prevalence in the class of quadratic stochastic operators acting on the L1 space for the uniform topology. We obtain that the set of norm quasi-mixing quadratic stochastic operators is a dense and open set in the topology induced by a very natural metric. This shows the typical long-term behaviour of iterates of quadratic stochastic operators.

Analysis of magnetic field inside thin-layer ferromagnetic objects
PublikacjaResults of the numerical analysis of the magnetic field inside an infinitely long, thin-layer ferromagnetic pipe with and without a barrier were presented in this paper. Two wires with current symmetrically placed on two sides of the pipe are the sources of magnetic field. Monotone iterative method for first-order differential equations at resonance
PublikacjaThis paper concerns the application of the monotone iterative technique for first-order differential equations involving Stieltjes integrals conditions. We discuss such problems at resonance when the measure in the Stieltjes integral is positive and also when this measure changes the sign. Sufficient conditions which guarantee the existence of extremal, unique and quasi-solutions are given. Three examples illustrate the results.

Simulations of Shear Zones and Cracks in Engineering Materials Using eXtended Finite Element Method
PublikacjaNumerical simulations of cracks and shear zones in quasi-brittle materials are presented. Extended Finite Element Method is used to describe both cracks and shear zones. In a description of tensile cracks, a Rankine criterion is assumed. A discrete Mohr-Coulomb law is adopted for simulations of shear zones.
