PublikacjaThe application of the monotone iterative method to neutral differential equations with deviating arguments is considered in this paper. We formulate existence results giving sufficient conditions which guarantee that such problems have solutions. This approach is new and to the Authors' knowledge, this is the first paper when the monotone iterative method is applied to neutral first-order differential equations with deviating...

Dynamic inequalities and equations of Volterra type on time scales
PublikacjaPraca dotyczy całkowo-różniczkowych równań dynamicznych typu Volterry z warunkami początkowymi. Stosując twierdzenie Banacha o punkcie stałym pokazano istnienie jedynego rozwiązania liniowego równania dynamicznego. Stosując metodę iteracji monotonicznych pokazano istnienie rozwiązań ekstremalnych dla problemów nieliniowych. Badano też nierówności dynamiczne. Praca zawiera również uwagi dotyczące zagadnień różniczkowych i różnicowych.

On delay differential equations with almost periodic boundary conditions started from different points

Differential analysis of dynamic immittance spectra
PublikacjaThis work presents a new approach to the analysis of immittance spectrograms of systems characterised by non-stationarity. The possibility of linking the evolution of the immittance response with changes in the parameters describing the system is achieved by introducing a spectrum in differential form. By using the above procedure, it becomes possible to separate elements with a dependence (or lack thereof) from an independent...

Analysis of Positioning Error and Its Impact on High Frequency Performance Parameters of Differential Signal Coupler of Differential Signal Coupler
PublikacjaThis paper presents the analysis of the effect of differential signal coupler positioning accuracy on its high frequency performance parameters for contact-less high speed chip-to-chip data transmission on PCB application. Our considerations are continuation of the previous works on differential signal coupler concept, design methodology and analysis for high speed data transmission monitoring presented in [1, 2]. The theoretical...

Mind the Gender Wage Gap – the Impact of Trade and Competition on Sectoral Wage Difference
PublikacjaThis article examines differences between women’s and men’s wages in 18 selected OECD countries in the period 1970-2005. The study is based on 12 manufacturing sector- and skill-specific sets of panel data on the gender wage gap. We apply a system GMM estimator to the extended version of the conditional gender wage gap convergence equation, controlling for sector concentration and industry-specific measures of openness using a...

Difference in Perceived Speech Signal Quality Assessment Among Monolingual and Bilingual Teenage Students
PublikacjaThe user perceived quality is a mixture of factors, including the background of an individual. The process of auditory perception is discussed in a wide variety of fields, ranging from engineering to medicine. Many studies examine the difference between musicians and non-musicians. Since musical training develops musical hearing and other various auditory capabilities, similar enhancements should be observable in case of bilingual...

Within- and between-firm wage inequalities and trade integration in GVC
PublikacjaThis paper examines between- (inter) and within- (intra) firm wage inequality using rich employer-employee data for 12 European countries. We confirm that much overall wage inequality is observed within sectors and within occupations. The share of the within- and between-firm components in overall wage inequality varies across countries. We estimate the link between involvement in global value chains (GVCs) and wages differentiating...

Bell-Type Inequalities from the Perspective of Non-Newtonian Calculus
PublikacjaA class of quantum probabilities is reformulated in terms of non-Newtonian calculus and projective arithmetic. The model generalizes spin-1/2 singlet state probabilities discussed in Czachor (Acta Physica Polonica:139 70–83, 2021) to arbitrary spins s. For s → ∞ the formalism reduces to ordinary arithmetic and calculus. Accordingly, the limit “non-Newtonian to Newtonian” becomes analogous to the classical limit of a quantum theory

Systems of boundary value problems of advanced differential equations
PublikacjaThis paper considers the existence of extremal solutions to systems of advanced differential equations with corresponding nonlinear boundary conditions. The monotone iterative method is applied to obtain the existence results. An example is provided for illustration.

Optimizing the computation of a parallel 3D finite difference algorithm for graphics processing units
PublikacjaThis paper explores the possibilities of using a graphics processing unit for complex 3D finite difference computation via MUSTA‐FORCE and WENO algorithms. We propose a novel algorithm based on the new properties of CUDA surface memory optimized for 2D spatial locality and compare it with 3D stencil computations carried out via shared memory, which is currently considered to be the best approach. A case study was performed for...

Compensation of magnetic disturbances caused by sensors in a differential magnetometric system
PublikacjaStudy of low magnetic fields necessitates the use of precision magnetometers working in a differential system. Minimization of this error is a substantial issue in the case of magnetometers working in a differential system on a mobile platform. The compensation method of heading error consists in taking measurements of changes in magnetic induction with the use of the tested magnetometer for various locations of the sensor in relation...

Applications of the discrete green's function in the finite-difference time-domain method
PublikacjaIn this paper, applications of the discrete Green's function (DGF) in the three-dimensional (3-D) finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method are presented. The FDTD method on disjoint domains was developed employing DGF to couple the subdomains as well as to compute the electromagnetic field outside these subdomains. Hence, source and scatterer are simulated in separate subdomains and updating of vacuum cells, being of little...

PublikacjaA certain non-linear differential equation containing a power of unknown function being the solution is considered with application to selected geotechnical problems. The equation can be derived to a linear differential equation by a proper substitution and properties of the operations G and S.

Low energy differential elastic electron scattering from acetonitrile (CH3CN)
PublikacjaMeasurements of elastic differential cross sections for electron scattering from acetonitrile (CH3CN) have been performed utilizing a crossed electron-molecular beam experiment and with the relative flow method, for the incident electron energy range of 0.7 eV–30 eV and the scattering angle range of 10◦–130◦. These differential cross sections have been used to calculate the elastic integral and momentum- transfer cross sections,...
