PublikacjaReaction of copper(I) halides with chiral dithiodianthranilidesmdtaandbdtaafforded polymeric complexeswhere polynuclear CuX clusters were linked together by ditopic bridging ligands into 1D chains or 2D layerstructures. In the case of racemic ligands double stranded chain polymers were formed where the Cu4X4(X = I or Br) cores are connected by enantiomeric pairs of the ditopic ligands. In contrast, a homochiralmdtaligand created...

Preparation and characterization of dummy-template molecularly imprinted polymers as potential sorbents for the recognition of selected polybrominated diphenyl ethers
PublikacjaThe main aim of this work was to conduct the preliminary/basic research concerning the preparation process of a new dummy molecularly imprinted polymer (DMIP) materials. Developed DMIPs were proposed as a sorption material in solid-phase extraction (SPE) technique for recognition of selected low mass polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) e PBDE-47 and PBDE-99. Four new DMIPs were synthesized employing bulky polymerization technique...

Nanoparticles preparation using microemulsion systems
PublikacjaMetallic nanoparticles become of current interests because they exhibit unique properties compared with those of metal atoms or bulk metal due to the quantum size effect and their large surface area, which make them attractive for applications in optics, electronics, catalysis biology and medicine. TiO2 has been used for environmental remediation purposes such as in the purification of water and air and also solar-to chemical energy...

Application of the Anammox Process for Treatment of Liquid Phase Digestate
PublikacjaThe liquid phase of the digestate (LPD) contains a relatively high concentration of nitrogen, with total ammonium nitrogen being the dominant form of nitrogen, as well as other essential nutrients such as phosphorus and potassium. Consequently, it must be treated before it is released into the environment. However, there are no reports of co-purification of LPD in the anammox process in sequencing batch reactor with granular sludge,...

The Use of Liquid Crystal Thermography an Image Processing in Heat and Fluid-Flow Research
PublikacjaLiquid crystal thermography (LCT) have been used in many technical, industrial and biomedical applications [1]. During over 20 years it has been successfully applied in Department of Energy and Industrial Apparatus at Gdansk University of Technology for visualization of steady-state and transient temperature fields. In order to demonstrate feasibility of LCT techniques in practical heat transfer contexts, the authors have performed...

Towards Cancer Patients Classification Using Liquid Biopsy
PublikacjaLiquid biopsy is a useful, minimally invasive diagnostic and monitoring tool for cancer disease. Yet, developing accurate methods, given the potentially large number of input features, and usually small datasets size remains very challenging. Recently, a novel feature parameterization based on the RNA-sequenced platelet data which uses the biological knowledge from the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes, combined with a classifier...

Optimization of liquid chromatographic separation of pharmaceuticals within green analytical chemistry framework
PublikacjaThe contribution is aimed at the development of methodology that allows to consider green analytical chemistry criteria during optimization of liquid chromatographic separation with design of experiment. The objectives of the optimization are maximization of peak areas of five non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs, maximization of resolution between peaks, with simultaneous shortening of chromatographic separation time and minimization...

A simplified model of 3-D pipe system conveying flowing liquid
PublikacjaThe paper presents a model reduction technique of a 3-D pipe system with flowing liquid. In the analysis and design of control (mechatronic) systems it is useful to work with simple, low order models. A hybrid reduced order model is proposed. The system model consists of two parts, the modal model and the finite element model.
