Optimal ECG lead for deriving respiratory signal
PublicationEDR is an interesting measuring technique that allows an indirect assessment of respiratory activity. This is an alternative solution to direct methods that are based on the measurement of air flow, which require a specialized sensor or even a system. However, due to inter-personal anatomical differences, the optimal ECG lead (placement of the electrodes) ensuring the best EDR signal quality is not fixed. An influence of ECG lead...

Digital Processing of Frequency–Pulse Signal in Measurement System
PublicationThe work presents the issue of the use of multichannel measurement systems of sensors processing input value to impulse signal frequency. The frequency impulse signal obtained from such sensors is often required to be processed at the same time with a voltage signal which is obtained from other sensors used in the same measurement system. In such case, it is usually necessary to sample the output signals from all sensors in the...

Since of all thesefeatures, CSfinds its applications especially in the areas where, sensing is...

Applying this approach we present an algorithmic method of finding the family of minimal sets of Lefschetz periods for Ng, a non-orientable compact surfaces without boundary of genus g. We also partially confirm the conjecture of Llibre and Sirvent (J Diff...

Isothermal turbines − New challenges. Numerical and experimental investigations into isothermal expansion in turbine power plants
PublicationThe efficiency of power plants with steam or gas turbines depends on the efficiencies of a thermodynamic cycle and devices implementing this cycle. In the case of high power outputs, we cannot expect a significant increase in the efficiency of individual devices. Therefore, what remains is to increase the efficiency of the implemented thermodynamic cycle - the complex Rankine cycle in the case of steam turbines or the extended...

Dynamic polarizability of the relativistic hydrogenlike atom: Application of the Sturmian expansion of the Dirac-Coulomb Green function

It is found that the tensor may be expressed in terms of two independent quantities: a scalar polarizability and a vector polarizability, the latter being of the relativistic origin. In the static...
