PublicationMaterials for otolaryngological stents have to be characterized by good tensile strength, wear resistance, biocompatibility, and specific degradation time. This work aimed to synthesize polyurethanes based on various biodegradable polyol blends. Their biodegradability and mechanical properties were tested and compared to commercial BIOFLEX material.

ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT OF SOLAR CELL MATERIALS
PublicationIn today’s world, fossil fuels, including coal, oil, and gas, are the primary energy sources from which electricity is obtained. As they are exhaustible and their exploitation has a negative impact on the natural environment, they should be, at least partially, replaced by renewable energy sources. One of these sources is solar energy. The use of solar energy releases no CO2, SO2, or NO2 gases, and does not contribute to global...

Methods for the characterizing hydrogen degradation of materials
PublicationDokonano przeglądu różnych metod szacowania podatności na niszczenie wodorowe materiałów metalowych. Zaprezentowano charakterystyki warunków środowiskowych: standardowe składy środowisk ciekłych i gazowych, temperatury, warunki polaryzacji elektrochemicznej. Omówiono metody mechaniczne szacowania niszczenia wodorowego różniące się stanem naprężeń, w tym badania: przy stałym obciążeniu, stałym odkształceniu i stałej niskiej szybkości...
