TOTAL CROSS SECTIONS FOR ELECTRON SCATTERING FROM SELECTED HYDROCARBONS: THE SUBSTITUTIONAL AND ADDITIVITY EFFECTS
PublicationTotal cross sections (TCS) for electron scattering from selected alkyne molecules, ethylene and its derivatives are compared. All cross sections have been measured in a wide energy range, from about 1 eV up to 370 eV, with the same electrostatic electron spectrometer. PublicationThe article presents the most important advantages of multi-phase electric drives. The construction of a five-phase squirrel cage induction motor together with possible stator winding distribution cases is presented, which affect the properties of such motor. The concept of capillary forces supported evaporator for application to domestic ORC unit
PublicationIn the paper presented are studies on the investigation of the capillary forces effect inducted in the porous structure of a loop heat pipe. The potential application of such heat exchanger is for example an evaporator of the domestic micro CHP unit. Preliminary analysis of the results indicates water as having the best potential, however taking into account all issues it can be said that the best effect is obtained using ethanol.

Synchronic digital stereophotography and photogrammetric analyses in monitoring the flow of liquids in open channels
PublicationThe authors present the results of their research into photogrammetric documents based on synchronic digital images. Examples presented in the paper indicate the value of synchronic stereophotography in registering phenomena connected with liquids. Combining synchronic stereophotography with photogrammetric methods has allowed the authors to develop an application useful for monitoring the flow of a liquid in an open channel.

Isostructural zinc and cadmium silanethiolates with bridging biimidazole co-ligands – Enhanced luminescence of zinc complex
PublicationTwo dinuclear complexes of zinc and cadmium with silanethiolate and bridging biimidazole ligands are characterized by X-ray diffraction, FT-IR, UV–Vis and emission spectroscopies. The complexes 1 (Zn) and 2 (Cd) are isostructural but exhibit different electronic structures and different character of frontier HOMO orbitals as indicated by DFT calculations. Suitability study of hybrid model of electrodynamic actuator
PublicationThis paper presents the proposal of the hybrid circuit-field model of an electrodynamic actuator. The field model uses the inductor current as the input data which is obtained from the circuit model or experimentally. Assessment of hydrogenation of deposited metal of P 62 MR covered electrodes
PublicationThe determination of diffusible hydrogen content in deposited metal of P 62 MR covered electrodes for manual metal arc welding by mercury method was carried out. The test results indicate that covered electrodes 62 P MR grade generate a mean of 4.02 ml/100g of diffusible hydrogen in deposited metal, which is consistent with H5 class.
