Interval incidence coloring of subcubic graphs
PublikacjaIn this paper we study the problem of interval incidence coloring of subcubic graphs. In [14] the authors proved that the interval incidence 4-coloring problem is polynomially solvable and the interval incidence 5-coloring problem is N P-complete, and they asked if χii(G) ≤ 2∆(G) holds for an arbitrary graph G. In this paper, we prove that an interval incidence 6-coloring always exists for any subcubic graph G with ∆(G) = 3.

The influence of α,ω-diols and SiO2 particles on CO2 absorption and NH3 escaping during carbon dioxide capture in ammonia solutions
PublikacjaAmmonia solutions are widely used solvents for CO2 capture. However, a significant disadvantage of these solvents is secondary pollution of the purified gas stream by desorbed ammonia. In this work, α,ω-diols, and colloidal silica have been proposed to reduce this undesired effect. Ammonia solutions with the addition of ethylene glycol (EG), 1,3-propanediol (PRD), 1,4-butanediol (BUD), 1,5-pentanediol (PED), or 1,6-hexanediol (HED)...

Contra Bellum: Bell's Theorem as a Confusion of Languages
PublikacjaBell's theorem is a conflict of mathematical predictions formulated within an infinite hierarchy of mathematical models. Inequalities formulated at level k ∈ Z are violated by probabilities at level k+1. We are inclined to think that k=0 corresponds to the classical world, while k=1 — to the quantum one. However, as the k=0 inequalities are violated by k=1 probabilities, the same relation holds between k=1 inequalities violated...

Interval incidence coloring of bipartite graphs
PublikacjaIn this paper we study the problem of interval incidence coloring of bipartite graphs. We show the upper bound for interval incidence coloring number (χii) for bipartite graphs χii≤2Δ, and we prove that χii=2Δ holds for regular bipartite graphs. We solve this problem for subcubic bipartite graphs, i.e. we fully characterize the subcubic graphs that admit 4, 5 or 6 coloring, and we construct a linear time exact algorithm for subcubic...

Objectivity in a Noisy Photonic Environment through Quantum State Information Broadcasting
PublikacjaRecently, the emergence of classical objectivity as a property of a quantum state has been explicitly derived for a small object embedded in a photonic environment in terms of a spectrum broadcast form—a specific classically correlated state, redundantly encoding information about the preferred states of the object in the environment. However, the environment was in a pure state and the fundamental problem was how generic and robust...

Constant-Factor Approximation Algorithm for Binary Search in Trees with Monotonic Query Times
PublikacjaWe consider a generalization of binary search in linear orders to the domain of weighted trees. The goal is to design an adaptive search strategy whose aim is to locate an unknown target vertex of a given tree. Each query to a vertex v incurs a non-negative cost ω(v) (that can be interpreted as the duration of the query) and returns a feedback that either v is the target or the edge incident to v is given that is on the path towards...
