Przekłada się to na dużą złożoność obliczeniową i problemy z projektowaniem filtrów interpolacyjnych. W pracy zaproponowano użycie metody FRM rozbijającej filtr o wąskim paśmie przejściowym na grupę filtrów o obniżonych wymaganiach, co zmniejsza liczbę niezerowych współczynników.
