Comparison of buckling resistance of columns modelled by beam and shell elements using non-linear analysis
PublicationThe aim of the paper is to investigate the stability process in the axially compressed columns modelled by beam and shell elements using static and dynamic finite element analysis by taking both the geometric and material non-linearity into account. Thermal energy storage using stearic acid as PCM material
PublicationThis work presents an experimental study of thermal energy storage by use of PCM. The aim of the study was to establish the influence of different inlet temperature of heat transfer fluid (HTF) and different Reynolds number of HTF on intensity of charging process. The PCM used in this study was stearic acid and water was used as HTF. A copper helical coil mounted in cylindrical container served as a heat transfer surface.

Degradation of modified TPS in natural and industrial compost
PublicationThe aim of the study was to determine in the pilot studies the degree of decomposition of modified by us thermoplasic starch (potato starch).Commercial and new obtained by us foils were tested in an open roofing at normal weather conditions. PublicationIn this paper, we examined whether entropy-based methods are able to differentiate healthy individuals from patients with congestive heart failure.
