Analizy wyznaczenia dedykowanych pasów autobusowych w Gdyni

Koncepcja integracji taryfowo-biletowej transportu zbiorowego w Obszarze Metropolitalnym Trójmiasta

The influence of the place of residence on the behavior and transport preferences of the inhabitants of the agglomeration
PublikacjaTransport behaviors and preferences have an impact on modal split, which is why they should form the basis for shaping the public transport offer. Achieving the goals of sustainable mobility requires taking into account differences in transport behavior and preferences characterizing residents from different areas of the agglomeration. Analyzing differences in behaviors and preferences, the possibilities and limitations resulting...

Migration of container terminals as their natural process of evolution: Case study of Gdańsk and Gdynia ports
PublikacjaThe paper proposes a theoretical model of container terminals and container port development, based on the life cycle theory, threshold theory and catastrophe theory, and in references to Kuznets' swings (interpreted as waves of infrastructural investments), and Kondratiev long economic waves. The aim of this model is to explain the development process of a container terminal and a port within one technological generation, as...

Konkurencyjność międzynarodowa z uwzględnieniem mechanizmu autokonkurencji – aspekty teoretyczne i praktyczne
W artykule...

Two-phase flow in heterogeneous porous media with non-wetting phase trapping
PublikacjaThis article presents amathematical model describing flowof two fluid phases in a heterogeneous porous medium. Zaproponowano model matematyczny przepływu dwufazowego w drobnoziarnistym ośrodku porowatym zawierającym inkluzje gruboziarniste. Inkluzje charakteryzują się niższą wartością ciśnienia wejścia dla płynu niezwilżającego (np. powietrze, ropa naftowa) niż materiał podstawowy. Podczas nawadniania takiego ośrodka dochodzi do...

Which transport policies increase physical activity of the whole of society? A systematic review
PublikacjaPurpose: There is strong evidence of the links between car-dependence and the physical inactivity pandemic. Physical inactivity accounts for 6–10% of major non-communicable diseases. Research consistently shows that unlike passive transport, active transport is associated with higher total daily physical activity (PA). While there are public policies that support PA in transport and, as a result, overall PA levels, the specific...

3D scanning system for railway current collector contact strips
PublikacjaUndisturbed collection of current from a contact wire of the catenary constitutes one of the basic elements in reliable operation of electrified rail transport, particularly when vehicles move at high speed. Quality of current collection is influenced by the construction of catenary and current collectors, as well as by the technical condition and regulation of these two elements. Total contact force of a current collector head...

Road Infrastructure Safety Management in Poland
PublikacjaThe objective of road safety infrastructure management is to ensure that when roads are planned, designed, built and used road risks can be identified, assessed and mitigated. Road transport safety is significantly less developed than that of rail, water and air transport. The average individual risk of being a fatality in relation to the distance covered is thirty times higher in road transport that in the other modes. This is...

Influence of Road Wetness on Tire-Pavement Rolling Resistance
PublikacjaRolling resistance of tires is one of the most important factors influencing energy consumption of road vehicles, especially on rural roads. For practical reasons, most of rolling resistance measurements are usually performed for dry road conditions. Based on the fact that roads are wet during a considerable time over the year and as part of the projects MIRIAM, ROLRES and ROSANNE, the TUG (Technical University of Gdańsk) in Poland...

Study on the prevalence of mobile phone use by car drivers – the case of Poland
Publikacja: Distracted driving is a significant factor affecting road safety and it can occur as a result of using mobile phones while driving. The aim of the current research is to present the prevalence of mobile phone use by Polish car drivers, based on the roadside and online survey. The field study showed that 11.6% of 1867 drivers were using mobile phones while being in motion and 26.1% of 203 drivers when stopped in front of traffic...

Influence of the boron doping level on the electrochemical oxidation of raw landfill leachates: advanced pre-treatment prior to the biological nitrogen removal
PublikacjaThe electrochemical oxidative treatment of landfill leachates (LLs) containing high amounts of ammonia nitrogen and organic matter was used as a promising method, prior to biological processes, to achieve the final effluent quality that would be acceptable by current regulations. The deposited boron-doped diamond electrodes (BDDs) with different boron doping concentrations (10000, 5000 and 500 ppm of B) were applied as anodes....
