Mispronunciation Detection in Non-Native (L2) English with Uncertainty Modeling
PublikacjaA common approach to the automatic detection of mispronunciation in language learning is to recognize the phonemes produced by a student and compare it to the expected pronunciation of a native speaker. These assumptions do not always hold, which can result...

Assessment of Connectivity-based Resilience to Attacks Against Multiple Nodes in SDNs
PublikacjaIn Software Defined Networks (SDNs), the control plane of a network is decoupled from its data plane. For scalability and robustness, the logically centralized control plane is implemented by physically placing different controllers throughout the network. The determination of the number and placement of controllers is known as the Controller Placement Problem (CPP). In the regular (i.e., failure-free) state, the control plane...

Shell model of multiple-row moment I-section end-plate joint
PublikacjaThe paper deals with a problem of application of shell elements in the models of multiple-row moment end-plate connections. The extended connection of I-section with a cross-section W760x265x220 made of steel S355 was analyzed. Comparison analysis of FEM, complex volume and shell models has been done. Three cases with different end-plate thickness: 14, 18 and 36 mm were analyzed and compared with the reference results. Comparison...

Benchmarking overlapping communication and computations with multiple streams for modern GPUs
PublikacjaThe paper presents benchmarking a multi-stream application processing a set of input data arrays. Tests have been performed and execution times measured for various numbers of streams and various compute intensities measured as the ratio of kernel compute time and data transfer time. As such, the application and benchmarking is representative of frequently used operations such as vector weighted sum, matrix multiplication etc....

Evolutionary algorithm and decisional DNA for multiple travelling salesman problem
PublikacjaIn the real world, it is common to face optimization problems that have two or more objectives that must be optimized at the same time, that are typically explained in different units, and are in conflict with one another. This paper presents a hybrid structure that combines set of experience knowledge structures (SOEKS) and evolutionary algorithms, NSGA-II (Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm II), to solve multiple optimization...

Diamond investments – Is the market free from multiple price bubbles?
PublikacjaThe following study aims to investigate whether multiple price bubbles, in which the quoted market price of diamonds significantly deviates from their fundamental value, exist in the diamond market. It was conducted using ADF, SADF and GSADF tests, with the latter found to be an optimal form of evaluating the analysed issue. The presented results support the conclusion that the diamond market is not free from periods defined as...

Multiple sound sources localization in free field using acoustic vector sensor
PublikacjaMethod and preliminary results of multiple sound sources localization in free field using the acoustic vector sensor were presented in this study. Direction of arrival (DOA) for considered source was determined based on sound intensity method supported by Fourier analysis. Obtained spectrum components for considered signal allowed to determine the DOA value for the particular frequency independently. The accuracy of the developed...

Multiple output second-generation current conveyor utilizing high frequency output stage
PublikacjaIn this paper a multiple output second-generation current conveyor (MOCCII) is presented. The main advantage of the proposed general circuit architecture over a typical structure, well known in the literature, is the use of a high passband multiple output current mplifier block instead of cascaded current mirrors. It gives similar frequency responses for all the outputs of the current conveyor and also maintains simplicity of the...
