About the Noether’s theorem for fractional Lagrangian systems and a generalization of the classical Jost method of proof
PublikacjaRecently, the fractional Noether's theorem derived by G. Frederico and D.F.M. Torres in [10] was proved to be wrong by R.A.C. Ferreira and A.B. Malinowska in (see [7]) using a counterexample and doubts are stated about the validity of other Noether's type Theorem, in particular ([9],Theorem 32). However, the counterexample does not explain why and where the proof given in [10] does not work. In this paper, we make a detailed analysis...

Is Artificial Intelligence Ready to Assess an Enterprise’s Financial Security?
PublikacjaThis study contributes to the literature on financial security by highlighting the relevance of the perceptions and resulting professional judgment of stakeholders. Assessing a company’s financial security using only economic indicators—as suggested in the existing literature—would be inaccurate when undertaking a comprehensive study of financial security. Specifically, indices and indicators based on financial or managerial reporting...

A Conception of Pairwise Comparisons Model for Selection of Appropriate Body Surface Area Calculation Formula
PublikacjaBody surface area (BSA) may be computed using a variety of formulas, but the computed BSA differs from real BSA values for particular subjects. This is presented in the paper by computing BSA values for selected subject and comparing them to the real BSA value obtained with the use of a 3D body scanner. The results show inequalities in the relevant BSA computing formulas. Hence, there is a need to determine a method that will allow...

Dissociative photo-double-ionization of the isoxazole molecules
PublikacjaThe five-membered heterocyclic rings are incorporated into a wide variety of structures that play a vital role in many biochemical processes. In particular, the isoxazole molecule appears in many bioactive compounds due to its unique ring structure that consists of one oxygen atom and one nitrogen atom at adjacent positions. The unique atomic composition and bond arrangement of isoxazole imply its specific electronic properties...

Three-dimensional Weyl topology in one-dimensional photonic structures
PublikacjaTopological features, in particular distinct band intersections known as nodal rings, usually requiring three-dimensional structures, have now been demonstrated experimentally in an elegantly simple one-dimensional photonic crystal.

Excitation energy transfer in partly ordered polymer films differing in donor and acceptor transition moments orientation
PublikacjaBased on spectroscopic measurements selected properties of nonradiative Förster energy transport are studied in uniaxially stretched polyvinyl alcohol thin films for three systems differing in donor and acceptor transition moments orientation relative to the axis of stretching. In particular, donor – acceptor emission anisotropy spectra yield completely different regularities for these systems in uniaxially stretched films, whereas...

Respiration rate estimation using non-linear observers in application to wastewater treatment plant
PublikacjaA problem of respiration rate estimation using two new non-linear observers for a wastewater treatment plant is addressed in this paper. In particular, a non-linear adaptive Luenberger-like observer and a super twisting sliding mode observer have been derived to produce stable and bounded estimates of the respiration rate. During the synthesis of the particular observer, an appropriate mathematical utility model was used. The observability...

Comparative Study of Iranian Nomadic Housing
PublikacjaThe purpose of this paper is to present the typical domestic space and to describe and analyze a particular temporary architecture (nomadic house) in order to perceive the exceptional nomadic culture and the architecture associated with it. The research investigates some of the nomadic tribes of Iran and their living space: including the nomadic home (Black Tent) and, uses those findings to analyze their unique culture. The research...

Structured populations with diffusion and Feller conditions
PublikacjaWe prove a weak maximum principle for structured population models with dynamic boundary conditions. We establish existence and positivity of solutions of these models and investigate the asymptotic behaviour of solutions. In particular, we analyse so called size profile.
