Feedback Control of Multiphase Induction Machines with Backstepping Technique
PublicationThe paper presents the control possibility of five phase induction machines. In the proposed solution the machine model vector form is not transformed to the (dq)-coordinate system, that is connected to rotor flux vector, but utilizes the stationary system ( αβ ). Moreover, the nonlinear model linearization is based on demonstrated nonlinear variables transformation for i-orthogonal ( αβ )(n) planes. By introducing the backstepping...

Z type Observer Backstepping For Induction Machines
PublicationThis paper contains a relatively new synthesis method for non-linear objects, named backstepping. This method can be used to obtain the observer structure. The paper presents the structure of the speed observer which is a new proposition of observer backstepping with additional state variables marked Z. The rotor speed can be estimated in three different ways. The first is based on the adaptive approach, the second on the nonadaptive...

Effects of Na+, K+ and B3+ Substitutions on the Electrical Properties of La10Si6O27 Ceramics
PublicationDoping of Na and K at La sites and of B at Si site in La10Si6O27 with oxyapatite structure and fabrication of their ceramics were made by solid-state reaction method. It was found that partial substitution of Na+ and K+ on La sites decreased the sinterability of the La10Si6O27 based ceramics, whereas partial substitution of B3+ on Si site imporved the sinterability. Na+ and K+ substitutions in La10-xNaxSi6O27-x and La10-xKxSi6O27-x...

Modern power-electronics installations in the Polish electrical power network
PublicationThe paper discusses the most important areas of application of power electronics arrangements in the Polish electrical power system; especially in the distribution system. The examples presented demonstrate both the need for and the purpose of further research and its applications in these fields, as well as indicating the direction of future research, with special consideration given to the research required in Poland. The proposed...

Electrical conductivity and relaxation processes in V2O5 nanorods prepared by sol–gel method
PublicationProperties of high purity V2O5 nanorods prepared by a sol – gel method are presented. The studied materials were characterized by: X-ray diffractometry (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The electrical impedance was measured as a function of temperature and frequency. The obtained results show that the electrical conductivity increases with increasing temperature. The d.c. conductivity...

High-Temperature Structural and Electrical Properties of BaLnCo2O6 Positrodes
PublicationThe application of double perovskite cobaltites BaLnCo2O6−δ (Ln = lanthanide element) in electrochemical devices for energy conversion requires control of their properties at operating conditions. This work presents a study of a series of BaLnCo2O6−δ (Ln = La, Pr, Nd) with a focus on the evolution of structural and electrical properties with temperature. Symmetry, oxygen non-stoichiometry, and cobalt valence state have been examined...

Loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) as a diagnostic tool in detection of infectious diseases
PublicationLoop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) is a gene amplification method which amplifies DNA with high specificity and efficiency under isothermal conditions. Because of its rapidity and simplicity, it is a valuable diagnostic tool in the early detection and identification of infectious diseases. LAMP method is based on the use of a set of four to six specially designed primers spanning six to eight distinct sequences on the...
