Spectral characteristics of water are strictly connected with the dispersion of electromagnetic radiation by suspended matter and the absorp-tion of radiation by water and chlorophyll a and b.Multispectral sensor ALI has bands within the ranges of electromagnetic radia-tion: blue and infrared, absent in sensors such as Landsat, SPOT,...

Evaluation of effectiveness of hydrated lime additive in protecting asphalt concrete against water and frost
PublikacjaArtykuł przedstawia wyniki badań laboratoryjnych odporności betonu asfaltowego z dodatkiem wapna hydratyzowanego na działanie wody i mrozu. Niszczące oddziaływanie wody i mrozu oceniano przez zestawienie wytrzymałości na pośrednie rozciąganie i modułu sztywnosci sprężystej przed i po laboratoryjnej symulacji działania wody i mrozu zmodyfikowaną metodą Lottmana. Działanie 2 środków adhezyjnych (wapna hydratyzowanego i aminu tłuszczowego)...

Hierarchical model predictive control of integrated quality and quantity in drinking water distribution systems
PublikacjaW artykule zaproponowane zostało zintegrowane podejście do sterowania ilością i jakością w systemach zaopatrzenia i dystrybucji wody.

Viscoelastic properties of oil-in-water emulsions stabilized by acylpropyleneglycol emulsifiers obtained with sodium soaps
PublikacjaZbadano właściwości reologiczne emulsji typu O/W, stabilizowanych emulgatorami acylopropylenoglikolowymi. Do badań wykorzystano reometr o kontrolowanym naprężeniu ścinającym. Wykonano testy oscylacyjne tzw. ''dużej deformacji próbki'' oraz analizy typu ''pełzanie i powrót''. Stwierdzono, że właściwości lepkosprężyste emulsji determinowane były składem stosowanego emulgatora. Wszystkie badane układy emulsyjne charakteryzowały się...

The sanitary quality of water and sandy sediments of selected streams and the coastal area of Gdańsk Bay
PublikacjaPraca prezentuje wyniki badań bakteriologicznych przybrzeżnych wód morskich i plażowych osadów piaszczystych prowadzonych w rejonie ujścia do Zatoki Gdańskiej rzeki Kaczej i Sweliny oraz Potoków Grodowego i Kamiennego. W badaniach określano liczbę bakterii względnie psychrofilnych, mezofilnych oraz bakterii wskaźnikowych (bakterii z grupy coli, coli typu kałowego oraz paciorkowców kałowych). Stwierdzono, iż potoki wnoszą znaczny...

(Vapour and liquid) equilibrium in (N,N-dimethylacetamide+methanol+water) at the temperature 313.15 K.

The effect of mixed anionic-cationic films composition on flotation of hydrocarbon particles from water
PublikacjaBadano adsorpcję dodecylosulfonianu sodowego oraz jednego z bromków alkilo-trimetyloamoniowych z roztworów ich mieszanin na granicach faz woda/powietrze oraz woda/dodekan. Obliczone stężenia powierzchniowe poszczególnych surfaktantów wykorzystano do wyznaczenia składu filmów adsorpcyjnych. Skład filmów anionowo-kationowych był podstawą do przewidywania zmian ładunku elektrostatycznego kropli dodekanu oraz efektywności flotacji...

Hydrogen-enhanced stress corrosion cracking and corrosion fatigue of HSLA steels in sea-water

The influence of water and mineral oil on volumetric losses in the displacement pump for offshore and marine applications
PublikacjaIn this paper volumetric losses in a positive displacement pump supplied with water and mineral oil are described and compared. The experimental tests were conducted using a prototype of a satellite pump (with a non-circular tooth working mechanism). In this paper the sources of volumetric losses in this pump are characterised. On this basis, a mathematical model of these losses has been presented. The results of the calculation...

Water Footprint Assessment of Selected Polymers, Polymer Blends, Composites, and Biocomposites for Industrial Application
PublikacjaThis paper presents a water footprint assessment of polymers, polymer blends, composites, and biocomposites based on a standardized EUR-pallet case study. The water footprint analysis is based on life cycle assessment (LCA). The study investigates six variants of EUR-pallet production depending on the materials used. The system boundary included the production of each material and the injection molding to obtain a standardized...
