Do wykonania oznaczeń zastosowano zmodyfikowaną technikę analizy fazy nadpowierzchniowej nad cienką warstwą cieczy z samoczynną generacją ciekłego sorbentu...

Changes of microbiological quality of water in distribution system. Zmiany mikrobiologicznej jakości wody w sieci dystrybucyjnej.
PublikacjaW artykule przedstawiono mikrobiologiczną jakość wody podziemnej uzdatnianej w dwóch stacjach oczyszczania wody (WTP I i WTP II), w sieci dystrybucyjnej. In the paper microbiological quality of water in distribution system produced in two ground water treatment...

Influence of sulphate reducing bacteria on water quality in water network

Mathematical Modeling of the Impact Range of Sewage Discharge on the Vistula Water Quality in the Region of Włocławek
PublikacjaThe paper presents results of analysis of the industrial sewage discharge influence at km 688 + 250 of the Vistula River on water quality. During the analysis, two-dimensional models of flow, impurities and temperature transport were used. Hydrological conditions of the analyzed section of the river, characteristic flows and bathymetry of the riverbed in the first instance were defined. Calculations of velocity distribution at...

Innovative Solutions in Surface Water Quality Monitoring
PublikacjaIn 2010 a project entitled "Integrated Support System for Management and Protection of Water Dam Reservoir (ZiZOZap)” was initiated, to aid solving water management problems on a river and dam reservoir formed on it. An innovative system of continuous monitoring was created, that encompassed selected physical and chemical parameters of river and lake waters in three chosen sites. This article presents a selection of results, that...

Application of Potentiometric Taste Sensor with All Solid State Electrodes for Distinguishing of Red Dry Wines from Polish and French Vineyards
PublikacjaOpracowano nowy potencjometryczny czujnik smaku z sześcioma różnymi elektrodami typu All Solid State Electrode (ASSE). Każda z elektrod zawiera dwie warstwy: polimer przewodzący i membranę lipidowo-polimerową, w której rozpuszczone są poszczególne związki lipidowe. Potencjometryczny sensor smaku charakteryzuje się globalną selektywnością. Zastosowano go w celu odróżnienia próbek wytrawnych czerwonych win pochodzących z różnych...

Surface water quality assessment by the use of combination of multivariate statistical classification and expert information
PublikacjaThe present study deals with the assessment of surface water quality from an industrial-urban region located in northern Poland near to the city of Gdansk. Concentrations of thirteen chemicals includingtotal polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), halogenated volatile organic compounds (HVOCs) and major ions in the samples collected at five sampling points during six campaigns were used as variablesthroughout the study. The originality...

Speciation of heavy metals in bottom sediments of a drinking water reservoir for Gdańsk, Poland – changes over the 14 years
PublikacjaThere was conducted a comparative study of the concentrations of heavy metals (Zn, Cu, Pb, andCd) in the surface layer of sediments collected in two investigation periods: 1999–2000 and 2013.The results demonstrated that the degree of metals pollution decreased over time. The contaminationfactors (Cf) calculated for Zn, Cu, Pb, and Cd were respectively 3.63, 3.86, 3.23, and 3.25 in thefirst period of...

Application of a fuzzy neural network for river water quality prediction
PublikacjaMonitoring i modelowanie zmian w jakości wód powierzchniowych stanowią jeden z kluczowych elementów monitoringu i zarządzania ochroną środowiska na skalę globalną.

Substance Flow Analysis of Mercury Affecting Water Quality in the European Union

Geographic information system for remote integration of diverse under-water acoustic sensor data
PublikacjaMaritime and port areas throughout the world are exposed to many different hazards, like pollution, terrorism and natural disasters. Early detection, identification and preparation of appropriateesponse strategies is especially important in the case of semi-enclosed basins like the Baltic Sea, mainly due to the marine ecosystems' continuous absorption of pollutants including oil, heavy metals and chemicals. Many of those agents...
