The obtained result reveals that the distance has little impact on the working width of the barrier.

The E-Cohomological Conley Index, Cup-Lengths and the Arnold Conjecture on T 2n
PublikacjaWe show that the E-cohomological Conley index, that was introduced by the first author recently, has a natural module structure. This yields a new cup-length and a lower bound for the number of critical points of functionals on Hilbert spaces. When applied to the setting of the Arnold conjecture, this paves the way to a short proof on tori, where it was first shown by C. Conley and E. Zehnder in 1983.

Experimental and analytical thermal study of PTFE composite sliding against high carbon steel as a function of the surface roughness, sliding velocity and applied load
PublikacjaThis study investigates the contact temperatures caused by frictional heating of sliding parallel pairs. In this case the materials studied are a PTFE composite in contact with a high carbon steel plate. These materials are commonly used for industrial applications, in particular as the main contacting components within a scroll expander system. The expected contact temperature values are important to be quantified in order to...

IEEE 802.15.4a Impulse Radio Spectrum Shaping by Changes in Pulse Sequence
PublikacjaThis paper presents one of possible techniques of IEEE 802.15.4a ultra-wideband signal spectrum control, based on changes in sequences of transmitted pulses with very short duration time. This technique can reduce probability of mutual interferences between new ultra-wideband and existing narrowband devices, which may be helpful in further studies on allowing UWB transmission in wider range of spectrum in theEuropean Union.

Peptide modification with thiomalonoamide moiety
PublikacjaAbstract: Meldrum acid derivatives under the thermal decomposition are well known source of ketenes. Recently we investigated chemical properties of thiocarbamolyl meldrum acids. We found that 5-(α-alkylamino- α'-sulfhydryl)methylene Meldrum's acids hated in the presence of amines produce thiomalonamides. We used this reaction to the one pot synthesis of series of short peptides containing thiomalonoamide motif.

A novel method of spectral analysis of oscillatory Belousov-Zhabotinsky reaction. Nowa metoda analizy spektralnej reakcji oscylacyjnej Biełousowa-Żabotyńskiego.
PublikacjaPrzedstawiono wstępne wyniki analizy czasowo-częstotliwościowej reakcji Biełousowa-Żabotyńskiego w reaktorze zamkniętym. Do analizy rejestrów potencjałowych reakcji BZ zaproponowano wykorzystanie metody STFT (Short Time Fourier Analysis). Uzyskane spektrogramy wykazały spadek częstotliwości oscylacji wraz z postępem reakcji. Na podstawie analizy trzech składowych harmonicznych badanych rejestrów wykazano ekspotencjalną zmianę...

Two-photon microperimetry with picosecond pulses
PublikacjaTwo-photon vision is a phenomenon associated with the perception of short pulsesof near-infrared radiation (900-1200 nm) as a visible light. It is caused by the nonlinear processof two-photon absorption by visual pigments. Here we present results showing the influence ofpulse duration and repetition rate of short pulsed lasers on the visual threshold. We comparedtwo-photon sensitivity maps of the retina obtained for subjects with...
