Microstructure and mechanical properties of laser surface-treated Ti13nb13zr alloy with MWCNTs coatings
PublikacjaLaser surface modification of titanium alloys is one of the main methods of improving the properties of titanium alloys used in implantology. This study investigates the microstructural morphology of a laser-modified surface layer on a Ti13Nb13Zr alloy with and without a carbon nanotube coating deposited by electrophoretic deposition. Laser modification was performed for samples with and without carbon nanotube coating for two...

The Influence of Calcium Glycerophosphate (GPCa) Modifier on Physicochemical, Mechanical, and Biological Performance of Polyurethanes Applicable as Biomaterials for Bone Tissue Scaffolds Fabrication
PublikacjaIn this paper we describe the synthesis of poly(ester ether urethane)s (PEEURs) by using selected raw materials to reach a biocompatible polyurethane (PU) for biomedical applications. PEEURs were synthesized by using aliphatic 1,6-hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI), poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG), α,ω-dihydroxy(ethylene-butylene adipate) (Polios), 1,4-butanediol (BDO) as a chain extender and calcium glycerolphosphate salt (GPCa) as...

Mechanical and structural behavior of high-strength low-alloy steel pad welded by underwater wet welding conditions
PublikacjaThe aim of the paper was to determine the metallurgical and mechanical behaviors of a high-strength low-alloy (HSLA) steel pad-welded specimen used in the structures of industrial and naval parts. Then to predict the metallurgical consequences (nature of the phases present) and the mechanical properties (hardness and impact strength) of the pad-welded steel obtained by underwater wet welding with different heat input values. The...

Arc-length Algorithm Efficiency in the Analysis of Thermally Loaded Multilayered Shells
PublikacjaThis paper concerns the efficiency study of the arc-length algorithm in the geometrically non-linear analysis of thermally loaded multilayered shells. The thermal loading is considered as the one-way thermo-mechanical coupling effect. Two implementations of the arc-length method are examined: the path-following technique available in NX-Nastran and the RiksWempner-Ramm algorithm adopted in the authors’ computer code SHLTH. It is...

Differential Quadrature Method for Dynamic Buckling of Graphene Sheet Coupled by a Viscoelastic Medium Using Neperian Frequency Based on Nonlocal Elasticity Theory
PublikacjaIn the present study, the dynamic buckling of the graphene sheet coupled by a viscoelastic matrix was studied. In light of the simplicity of Eringen's non-local continuum theory to considering the nanoscale influences, this theory was employed. Equations of motion and boundary conditions were obtained using Mindlin plate theory by taking nonlinear strains of von Kármán and Hamilton's principle into account. On the other hand, a...

Funkcjonowanie zespołów napędu hydraulicznego maszyn w niskich temperaturach otoczenia
PublikacjaW pracy przedstawiono cztery warianty klasyfikacji rozruchów oziębionego napędu hydraulicznego. Pierwsza sytuacja dotyczy zagadnienia, w którym wszystkie zespoły układu napędowego wraz z olejem mają taką samą niską temperaturę podczas rozruchu. Pozostałe warianty odnoszą się do rozruchu w warunkach szoku termicznego wywołanych zasilaniem ciepłym czynnikiem roboczym oziębionych zespołów hydraulicznych. Rozruch zespołów...

Experimental and numerical analysis of an aluminum cantilevered beam with polymer adhesive
PublikacjaIn this paper, experimental and numerical investigation on a composite cantilevered aluminum beam has been conducted. The subject of the study consists of two plain aluminum elements bonded with polymer adhesive of different thickness. It has been proven in the previous study that this kind of material has high damping properties. During an experimental investigation, value of damping ratios have been obtained. The aim of a numerical...

Comparison of elastic and viscoelastic analysis of asphalt pavement at high temperature
PublikacjaThere are many various rheological models which are used for modeling of asphalt layers in flexible pavement structures. It can be expected that the use of various models may affect different results of mechanical pavement calculations and analysis. The paper presents comparison of the use of Burgers’ and Huet-Sayegh’s viscoelastic models and Hooke’s elastic model to calculate pavement deflections and strains at the bottom of asphalt...

Fatigue resistance investigation of the IC engine MB11 bearings, working under conditions of dynamic unidirectional loadings
PublikacjaThe slide bearing material MB11 fatigue resistance has been investigated with the application of SMOK - test stand in which dynamic unidirectional loadings to the test bearing is generated. Slide bearing layer consists of the bronze MB11 ( Cu Pb22 Sn 3 ) sintered to the steel shell. Each of the tested bearing has been subject to the standard 20-hour test, under conditions of the full fluid lubrication. Methodology of the experiments,...

The influence of stainless steels microstructure evolution on the mechanical properties of pressure installation elements
PublikacjaIn this paper results of FEM analysis performed for pipe and 90o elbow, made of super duplex stainless steel, after precipitation of sigma phase (),were presented. Heat treatment conditions simulate accidental overheating that can occur in nuclear installations after cooling circulation fails. For initial and modified microstructure tensile test was performed and numerical description of work hardening curves was done. Verification...
