Method of determining the degree of liquid aeration in a variable capacity displacement pump
PublicationThe Author concludes, that there is a possibility of determining a concrete value of the liquid aeration coefficient during the pump operation by finding such value of coefficient with which the increase of torque of mechanical losses is proportional to the indicated torque determined with a fixed value of increase of pressure in the pump working chambers. The fixed value of increase of pressure assumed in searching the liquid...

Comments on “Closed Form Variable Fractional Time Delay Using FFT”
PublicationIn this letter drawbacks of the aforementioned paper are pointed out. The proposed approach is improved with minor modifications of the discrete frequency response. This allows for design of fractional delay filters which are close to optimal and can be efficiently implemented in the frequency domain using the sliding DFT based structure. Alternatively, the derived equivalent closed form formulae for offset windows can be used...

Dynamic Analysis of the Turnout Diverging Track for HSR with Variable Curvature Sections
PublicationThe paper presents an analytical method of identifying the curvature of the turnout diverging track consisting of sections of varying curvature. Both linear and nonlinear (polynomial) curvatures of the turnout diverging track are identified and evaluated in the paper. The presented method is a universal one, it enables to assume curvature values at the beginning and end point of the geometrical layout of the turnout. The results...
