Influence of geometrical imperfections on stresses in cylindrical shells
PublicationResults of the numerical analysis of the shells of storage tanks of 50 000 m3 capacity with geometrical imperfections are presented in the paper. Results were verified by tensometric tests performed on the real tank. It was recognized that real geometrical imperfections cause increase of stresses in the tank construction by 30%.

Model of heat transfer in the stagnation point of rapidly evaporating microjet
PublicationThe paper presents investigation in the single water microjet surface cooling producing evaporating film. Reported tests were conducted under steady state conditions. It was proved that the phenomenon is similar to that of pool boiling. Results of experiments were compared with predictions by the model showing a good consistency.

PublicationThis paper deals with a model-order reduction method, applied to speed-up the simulations of MIMO antenna arrays, performed by means of finite element method.
