PublicationMagnetic polar materials feature an astonishing range of physical properties, such as magnetoelectric coupling, chiral spin textures, and related new spin topology physics. This is primarily attributable to their lack of space inversion symmetry in conjunction with unpaired electrons, potentially facilitating an asymmetric Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya (DM) exchange interaction supported by spin–orbital and electron–lattice coupling. However,...

Green porous benzamide-like nanomembranes for hazardous cations detection, separation, and concentration adjustment
PublicationGreen biomaterials play a crucial role in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases as well as health-related problem-solving. Typically, biocompatibility, biodegradability, and mechanical strength are requirements centered on biomaterial engineering. However, in-hospital therapeutics require an elaborated synthesis of hybrid and complex nanomaterials capable of mimicking cellular behavior. Accumulation of hazardous cations like...

Właściwości strukturalne i transportowe kompozytów tytanianu strontu z tlenkami przewodzącymi jonowo
PublicationW ramach pracy doktorskiej wytworzono i zbadano właściwości kompozytów tytanianu strontu domieszkowanego niobem (Sr(Ti,Nb)O3) z wybranymi tlenkami przewodzącymi jonowo (tlenek cyrkonu stabilizowany tlenkiem itru – YSZ, tlenek ceru - CeO2). Analizę dla różnych składów kompozytów prowadzono w szerokim zakresie temperatur i ciśnień parcjalnych tlenu. Właściwości strukturalne kompozytów zbadano metodami XRD, SEM, AFM i EDX, zaś właściwości...

Study of nanomechanical properties of (1-y)BST-yMgO thin films
PublicationIn the present study thin films of MgO – modified Ba0.6Sr0.4TiO3 (BST60/40) solid solution were prepared by the sol-gel-type chemical solution deposition method on stainless steel substrates. A multilayer spin-coating approach was utilized for the Ba0.6Sr0.4TiO3-MgO thin film deposition with subsequent thermal annealing at T=650-750C. Dried BST60/40-MgO gel powders were studied with thermogravimetric and differential thermal analysis...

The structure and melting of lead nanocrystalline layer in reduced lead-germanate glass

Influence of surfactants on interaction forces between polyethylene surfaces in a hydrocarbon solvent.
PublicationPrzeprowadzono bezpośrednie pomiary oddziaływań międzyfazowych pomiędzy cząstkami polietylenowymi w środowisku n-tetradekanu z dodatkiem surfaktantów(kwasu larynowego i dodecyloaminy). Dodatek surfaktantów wpłynął na wzrost oddziaływań odpychających pomiędzy powierzchniami polietylenowymi, szczególnie w przypadku dodecyloaminy. Zaobserwowano obecność wzrostu sferycznych sił odpychających ze wzrostem temperatury.

Photodegradation of lauric acid at an anatase single crystal surface studied by atomic force microscopy
PublicationBadania obejmowały obserwację zmian topografii powierzchni, za pomocą mikroskopii sił atomowych, cienkiej warstwy kwasu laurynowego osadzonego na monokrysztale anatazu. Warstwę kwasu laurynowego o grubości 80-90 nm naświetlano promieniowaniem z zakresu UV-Vis. Zauważono, że kwas laurynowy osadzany metodą wirującego dysku tworzy na powierzchni monokryształów TiO2 struktury domenowe. Stwierdzono, że podczas naświetlania nie ulega...

Dynamic Nanoimpedance Characterization of the Atomic Force Microscope Tip-Surface Contact
PublicationNanoimpedance measurements, using the dynamic impedance spectroscopy technique, were carried out during loading and unloading force of a probe on three kinds of materials of different resistivity. These materials were: gold, boron-doped diamond, and AISI 304 stainless steel. Changes of impedance spectra versus applied force were registered and differences in the tip-to-sample contact character on each material were revealed. To...

Application of dynamic impedance spectroscopy to scanning probe microscopy.
PublicationDynamic impedance spectroscopy, designed for measuring nonstationary systems, was used in combination with scanning probe microscopy. Using this approach, impedance mapping could be carried-out simultaneously with topography scanning. Therefore, correlation of electrical properties with particular phases of an examined sample was possible. The sample used in this study was spheroidal graphite cast iron with clearly defined phases...

Aplication of impedance imaging to evaluation of organic coating degradation at a local scale
PublicationZaproponowano nowe podejście do oceny lokalnych właściwości elektrycznych powłok organicznych.
